Mk4 VRS Manual box - Clutch slipping at 18 months old with 19k miles. Skoda saying they won’t help
UPDATE: Skoda dealership looked at the car today and diagnosed a faulty oil seal (not sure which but guessing probably crankshaft) which had allowed oil to leak on to clutch plate so now getting the whole thing repaired under warranty after all. {sigh of relief}

Mk4 VRS Manual box - Clutch slipping at 18 months old with 19k miles. Skoda saying they won’t help
Well it’s the same commute I’ve been doing for years and my previous mk3 VRS which I had for 5 years didn’t need a new clutch! Plus, my job means I’m lucky enough to commute outwith rush hour and all at the quieter west end of the M8 so rarely stuck in traffic

Mk4 VRS Manual box - Clutch slipping at 18 months old with 19k miles. Skoda saying they won’t help
So! Title says it all really. Waiting on Skoda to get back to me with a price but they’re already saying it’s not covered under warranty and it’ll be up to me to pay. No way a clutch should be going after 19k (mostly motorway) miles! Anyone else had premature clutch failure?

Climate and Limiter unavailable
How did you get on the dealership? Asking because I also have the climate issues you described. Any info about the recall?

What Tyres on VRS?
Just wondered from those who already have their Mk4 VRS (still waiting for mine!), what tyres are fitted?

Police Octavia VRS
Yes. It will probably be moved around whilst on loan so that it can be used in various driving environments.

Lead in time for Vrs
I ordered a TSi, 6G Manual with winter pack option. Build week was quoted to me by the dealer on the day of order and I haven't been told anything different since then. Crossing my fingers and hoping it's not delayed by the current World disorder!!

Police Octavia VRS
I own a mk3 VRS but it's a diesel so it might be unfair to compare them. Both are brilliant!!

I had the pleasure of driving this at the weekend! (ps. No comments from police haters please - it's a job and someone has to do it. Remember this forum is just about the cars so keep it friendly please )

Mk4 vRS Wheel dimensions
Hi all, I've just ordered a new vRS (petrol, hatchback, 6G manual in Meteor Grey) with delivery not expected until May!! I intend on changing the wheels immediately as I'm not a fan of the design on the fitted wheels (disappointing that there are no manufacturer options but that's another matter). I've spent ages looking online and in the owners manual and cannot find the dimensions of the standard 19 inch wheel. I presume they are 5 x 112 bolt arrangement? Are they 7.5 or 8 inch width and does anyone know the off-set? I intend to re-fit the OEM tyres to my new aftermarket wheels but need to know the specs to narrow my search for a wheel that I like. TIA

MK 4 VRS ordered, anyone else?
Just ordered a new vRS TSi manual hatchback in meteor grey with winter pack. Been told it’s build week 15 for me with delivery not until May 😫 Disappointed that there were no wheel options for the UK market as elsewhere in Europe have up to 6 options. It’s the one aspect of the car that I’ll probably change with an aftermarket option.

Hi fellow Skoda fans!
Hi. Just signed up to the forums but not a new Skoda owner. Been driving my 2016 vRS estate (diesel) since new and just today I’ve ordered a new vRS TSi 245 6G manual hatchback in meteor grey 😁 Delivery not until May I’m told ☹️ hope I can help here or at least find help when I need it. 👍🏼
