  1. What would you recommend I do to rectify the issue? Would it require an auto electrician to rewire the tow-bar electrics? Trouble is the fault is hard to reproduce, but at least I'm getting closer and closer to the source.
  2. Not sure to be honest, as it was already fitted when I got the car. I've never used the tow bar, but I've always questioned the way the bottom trim was cut too – definitely seems like a cowboy job. I've just taken some photos if they are of any use...
  3. Just wanted to update folks on the noise, which is still occasionally happening. We have now identified it as coming from the rear of the car, and some suggestions are that it's related to the electrics of the towbar. This isn't confirmed, but it may help others experiencing the same issue.
  4. Thanks for all the ideas! Much appreciated... My answers below. No wildlife, fortunately! Coolant level looks good – it's only slightly below the maximum line. No warning lights on dashboard either. I do have a dashcam. It is fitted with a ferrite core around the cable, near the dashcam itself. The DAB radio was switched off in the video. Even so, the radio operates as normal, and there is no static noise interference from that. I've had the dashcam fitted for six months with no similar noise issues. No sign of any alarm clocks in the car! I have the phone already paired to the infotainment system, but the bluetooth on my phone was switched off. Do you think it could be a noise from the car trying to connect to the phone? Odd!
  5. Hearing an odd beeping noise from around the dashboard area, every 3–4 minutes. No warning lights or other indicators to suggest where it's coming from. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be? VID-20210501-WA0000.mp4
  6. Recently joined Club Yeti, and the coolant is in need of topping up. Apologies if this has been covered here before! The coolant reservoir states G12, and the coolant colour is a bright red/pink colour (see photos). According to EuroCarParts (inputting my registration plate), I should be picking: G12/G12+, or G13 According to Halfords (inputting my registration plate), I should be picking: G40, or GG40. Which should I be using? Can someone recommend a reliable source for purchasing the correct (concentrate or ready-mixed) type? If it helps, the car is a 2014 Skoda Yeti, Outdoor Elegance Greenline II TDI. Many thanks!
