Hi folks,
I'm in Canada, but sort of in limbo between being here and moving to Slovakia. Covid-19 and a motorcycle crash delayed our move by a year. I have 2 bikes - a Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and a Triumph Trophy 900 triple. The Trophy and I have done about 75,000 kms all over Western North America and Eastern Canada. I got creamed on the V-Strom last summer - first ever incident on a bike after 40 years riding.
I already have the Rover 75 CDTi in Slovakia and help friends with their cars and whatever else when I am there - several months every year. The Rover was shortlisted along with the Octavia and B5.5 Passat. A couple of friends have Rapids there - newer models, not the Classics. One moved up from a Favorite. He had to replace a defective crankshaft sprocket just out of warranty. I never saw that before - chipped sprocket tooth right from the factory, no marks of distress. Poor metallurgy. Another has a TDi that he bought after a small crash for a good price for his wife. We are trying to diagnose a fuel pump relay problem on it.
Cheers,
Glenn
