  1. I had this, plus other weird faults cropping up in the last three months on my five year old SEL. Advise from my Skoda garage - Try pressing and holding down the key fob ‘open button’ and then the ‘close‘ one. Worked for me.
  2. Yes, my five year old Karoq has started doing this occasionally (amongst other weird stuff). Got it booked in with Skoda to check but not holding out much hope as they said if it doesn’t do it on checking they won’t investigate further…
  3. Good question! I’ve lower back problems so ride comfort is really important to me. I made the mistake of buying an Audi S line and a BMW 320 M a few years ago, boy did I regret that, every pothole I thought my fillings would fall out. Before going with the Karoq I tested the KIA Sportage, it was really nice but the ride was too hard, very like the S Line. I’m happy with the ride on the 19”. Bit noisy on some surfaces but overall fine.
  4. That’s great, many thanks.
  5. Oh, and it’s a 1.5TSI DSG!
  6. Many thanks for all this. 1. The tyres are Bridgestone Turanza 225/40 R19 93Y all round. They were the ones supplied when I bought the car new 3 years ago. 2. They’ve done 28k miles which I suppose isn’t bad? The rear pair are fine, loads of tread. 3. I live in Surrey so don’t get real extremes of weather. Any further recommendations plus approximate cost to be expected greatly appreciated.

Hi chaps. My 2020 Karoq 1.5 TSI petrol auto has done 27k miles and needs new front tyres. I live in a semi rural location with terrible potholes. Any recommendations for what is best to buy? thanks in advance.
  8. Many thanks!

Hi all A quick sanity check. I’ve got a 1.5 TSI Karoq, am I correct in sticking E10 petrol in it? Thanks in advance.
  10. I KNEW Brexit was to blame…….
  11. This might be a very daft question but why does the inside filler flap show stuff in bars, when garage air lines show in psi? I’ve Googled it and worked out the equation, but it seems unhelpful. The Skoda dealer inflated them to 38 psi and did not reset the system, the tyre symbol on the instrument panel alerted me to the potential anomaly. I’ve now set them at 35 psi/2.4 bar I’d ask them but they’re not returning my calls….😆
  12. Got them fitted yesterday, lovely! many thanks.
  13. Hi I’ve a 1.5 TSI Karoq, and am a bit confused about the correct pressures. The tyres are Bridgestone 225/40 R19 and I usually have them at 33 psi all around. However I got it back from a dealer service yesterday and they have set them at 38. It’s always light loaded with two people. Any advice welcome!
  14. Many thanks all, those Bosch beauties ordered. Cheers!

I’ve had my Karoq 18 months now and it’s great except the wipers, front and rear, make a horrible scraping noise. I booked it in for service with a Skoda dealer and asked the guy to investigate this. He said he had one too and experienced the same problem, which didn’t fill me with much confidence. I changed the blades about 9 months ago but no improvement. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  16. That’s great, thanks all for the info…..
  17. Seasons greetings! I bought a Karoq last year. How long does their breakdown assistance last, three years? Much obliged in advance.
  18. Many thanks. I didn’t know this. It begs the question, what’s the point of the eco mode then? Btw, I’ve got a 1.5 TSI DRG. Had it six months, done about 3000 miles and am very pleased with it.
  19. Hi. is it possible to set the mode on start up to Eco instead of D?
