  1. Thanks for the response, won't go for those. I've now found some 205/55/r16 originally off an Audi A3. This tyre/wheel size is listed in the Octavia workshop manual, and offset is the same, so am I ok to assume these will work?
  2. We're on holiday in the UK and had a close encounter with the edge of the road today, which has resulted in 2 destroyed tyres (one of which was only fitted yesterday) and 2 mangled rims. While there's no good time for this to have happened, Easter weekend is a particularly bad time to find parts so we can get home. Car is Octavia Ambiente estate 1.9 diesel with standard 15" wheels and 205 60 r15 tyres. I've found someone on Facebook selling wheels from an 04 Audi A4 with 235 45 r17 tyres on. Bolt circle etc are the same, but I'm concerned they're too wide. Hoping somebody has experience of this wheel size and can confirm if it's going to work. Thanks
  3. That's great, thank you, yes it is a diesel. Doesn't seem to be dripping, but I'll keep an eye on it. Sam.
  4. Morning, was battling through Storm Christoph last night and had to get through some standing water. It wasn't massively deep, but as I drove through there was a loud clunk and a couple of hundred metres further on the sound of something dragging on the road. Stopped to have a look, and the part shown in the photos was hanging down. Pushed it back in position and carried on home, about another hour of driving. Kept a close eye on warning lights, engine temp etc. but nothing came up. Couple of questions: What is it? Hard to get photos, but it sits directly under the driver's seat, I'm assuming it's a radiator of some kind Assuming no warning lights come on, should I be ok driving half an hour to our local Skoda independent? Thanks in advance for help
