Thank you. I’m looking at used, about 2 years old, preferably under 30k miles and I have a budget of about £16-18k. I would be looking at the 2.0 with the wet clutch dsg, are these relatively okay then? I always over service my cars anyway so if it’s a case of keeping up to them then that won’t be an issue. I have a Kia Ceed that’s had 6 oil changes in 2 years and it’s only covered 20,000 miles ha.

Hello all. Ive been doing a lot of research into the next family car and I’ve given everything an opportunity and eventually after reading reviews, videos, checking forums and articles I’ve whittled it down to either the CX5/Karoq/Kodiaq. The only thing that puts me off the Skoda is that I’m reading a lot of articles surrounding reliability issues with the VW equivalent, the Tiguan and the Tiguan All space. The same seems to be true for the Seat Ateca. Mainly on auto DSG boxes and electrically. I guess the question I have is, is the Skoda essentially the same car? I presume so but I cannot seem to find anything mimic these same issues apart from the DSG? I really like the car, I think the interior looks a heck of a lot nicer than the Tiguan too, plus it’s cheaper. Thanks all!
