And ended up with £450 bill not the original £300 not to sure why but wanted the car running

Cars all running and been dropped of today

Paid £300 all in for kit and labour and recovery get the car back tomorrow dinner time the garage said, makes it worse I work at Vauxhall and they tried to charge nearly double this price ie £60 per hour inspection £90 per hour labour

That’s what I was thinking but no mention of the valves of the garage so I guess I could just get lucky it’s because of the timing chain tensioner

I just rang this morning and he told me it had stretched and slipped so o just told him to change it so I’m just hoping that’s the problem hahah

UPDATE FROM GARAGE been told the timing chain has stretched car is running now misfiring and running terrible

No sir lock in the pipes and I think immobiliser is fine as of the car is sparking I didn’t think it would spark it’s at the local garage will let yous know when I get a update

All pipes on compression test is good all coils and plugs are sparking well I maybe wrong here but are the crank sensors on these still magnetic and can not work correctly if they have a bit of metal on these ? Just a thought with it been sat so long

Deffinatly put petrol in hahah as I got it all over my hands from a drum

Then the next day I went to the car to then drive it back home and it wouldn’t start so I know it’s nothing that I have done as it was started for over a hour after I carried out the work to the car

Yeah the car was starting then I changed the pump snd plugs then it started straight after changing them

The car was running and starting good last week let it warm up and then the next day I come to the car and give it a service as I knew it would have needed it and a new fuel pump the car had very little fuel when I left the car but before the service I filled it up with shell v power the jump leads I use are the old heavy duty ones for cars lorries and busses never ever let me down even tried a new battery still no different the car when going to it after a day the first turn it’s like it goes to fire up then after the first turn there is nothing it just turns over

To be fair the car is 20 miles away I have just left to drive back home after checking for a spark going to book in with local mechanic to see if they can figure it out

They is a spark so I know immobiliser is okay spark plug new ones full of fuel

I don’t know if csr doesn’t spark I’m going to check that today I’m just guessing it can’t have a spark because every thing else seems good

Were can I find the video please and I thought it would be immobiliser but with the spark plugs getting fuel and fuel pump working I thought that it was fine just a spark problem but coming to think of it it’s work a try with the video

I will be going back to the car tomorrow to check timing and check all the coils will post if any updates

And yeah code has gone and hasn’t showed agin

I have used easy start and still nothing I tried that this morning that’s why I’m going more for the sparking problem

And yes toke air box off and it’s all clean in there And yeah I changed them my self

I am going to check all fuses tomorrow and I put fresh fuel in full tank 2-3 days ago and toke it for a drive was started over 1 hour and was running fine 15 months ago too but today it just won’t start I’m a bit confused hahah

Yeah fully charged even connected to a van to try Jump it of the car was fine 2-3 days ago turned it off come back to it this morning and it’s going to start but doesn’t said the spark isn’t good enough or the fuel isn’t getting enough was a code stored for fuel pressure but it’s getting the correct fuel changed plugs changed fuel filter changed fuel pump still nothing car was sat for 15 months before started it couple of days ago

Car was starting last week after new plugs and filter and come to the car this morning and it’s just cranking going to start but won’t plugs have fuel any suggestions 2011 Skoda fabia vrs 1.4 180bhp
