  1. Hello there, I've superb 280ps 4×4, just want a decent upgrade of the brake. It is stock 18R. Is it worthy to upgrade? Given that I'm driving only in town and highways, with few sprinting. Can I just increase the size of rotors and use high end pads?? Or to use BBK (expensive). Does anyone have experiencewith this matter? Thank you in advance
  2. I've contacted the dealer that time, they offered just "fixing" it...no "replacement"......and after careful inspection I've found that this broken part is the "lip" which fixes the air intake into the car....so I've used epoxy (plastic wielding) to fix it and it worked perfectly (making sure I didn't fix the screw itself, only the plastic part)
  3. No, I've just get adapted on it....it is not affecting anything in the car, and IMHO it is just resonance/vibration of something, that get magnified at that rpm....I've just ignore it after I discovered the same happening for the roof at specific engine rpm.
  4. After one more trial, this sound is not present while the car is not moving, appears only while decelerating, if my foot is off throttle, say on D4, the rpm is dropping, once reaches 1500, a very faint humming sounds like coming from the driving terrain, the sound disappears below 1500, if I continue to decelerate, car shifts to D3, rpm increases, then once reaches 1500 again sound appears and so on 🤔🤔
  5. Good morning my friends I've just noticed that there is a very faint humming sound when I'm decelerating or my foot is off throttle at exactly 1500 rpm. It sounds like if you're driving on a bit rough asphalt. Above or below 1500 it disappears. I don't know if this is something new or does exist from the begining, given that the car is brand new and only run 800km till now. Is it normal? Could this broken plastic part of the air intake mount in the above photos be the victim?? Thank you
  6. Good morning my friends, after more concentrated efforts, I figured out that this humming sound is present at exactly 1500 rpm, no matter what car speed is, whenever rpm hit 1500, while my foot is off throttle, I feel this faint vibrating humming sound....any ideas?
  7. Hello every one, I'm just a new to my superb 280, I've run only 800km till now, but I've noticed a very faint humming sound during gentle deceleration, or when my foot is off throttle on low speed on normal mode. It sound like if the asphalt isn't just so smooth....is it normal?? Thank you
  8. Good afternoon I've purchased a new Superb 280, 4×4....as you all may read, the manual is instructing a period of about 1500km as engine running-in, which I think we have to follow, but on the other hand, many users and manufacturers are not seeing it as a necessity. Did any of the respected owners has firm experiance/knowledge about it?? Ps. Sorry if it is a repeated topic, if so, please just redirect me to the appropriate thread(s).....thank you ☺😊
  9. Sorry for duplication, my phone gets but 🙈🙈🙈
  10. Good morning While I was registering my new superb, the guy who was taking the engine code (done in old manner), unscrewed this plastic part, then broke it....it seems insignificant, but I'm not sure, should I've it fixed/replaced? Or not?? Thank you in advance
  11. Actually, as I've said, sometimes it is a bit confused here in Egypt: the Engine is cjx, 280ps (206kw) and 350N.m (not 380). And yes it is 2021 model 😅😅
  12. I've checked engine code and it is confirmed, it is cjx. But again, does it have any cons/pros against that dnu one??? Thank you
  13. No problem, there are a lot of options have been removed unfortunately, despite that it is the highest version in Egypt (ACC, and GPS navigation as examples). As regards the engine, I'm not sure, just tell me how I could know, is it obvious from engine number?? And if I may ask, what is the difference between the two versions??
  14. It is still DQ250 here in Egypt, DQ381 will be introduced for the first time in Egyptian market in Octavia VRS, 245ps
  15. Yup, I'm pretty sure, that's why I wrote "Egyptian version"....we have a unique specifications, sometimes "unique" means downgraded or outdated, unfortunately ps. Sorry for duplicated post, I've just forget to quote
