  3. hi there i brought my mk1 octavia auq last year and recently it started to make a loud rattle/knocking noise when running the noise seemed to come from the cambelt area so brought a cambelt and waterpump, checked the history and it was well overdue so stripped it down and noticed the water pump was leaking and was noisy and also the roller on the hydraulic tensioner was noisy when spun so figured that was the cause, took me ages getting it back in time as kept jumping whilst fitting the belt but got there in the end, put it all back together and run it, seemed ok still a bit of a rattle but went quiet after a couple of minutes now when blipping the throttle there is a rattle noise it also makes the noise when pulling off could a new timing belt cause the tensioner to weaken? ive checked online and read about vcds cam timing check and my results are below any ideas? thankyou
