Fabia 09 Lights flashing, Locking/unlocking and opening windows by its self
The switch controlling the windows on the drivers side seem to be the problem. This has been removed and is awaiting its replacement. Fingers crossed this completely solves the issue.

Thank you for your reply. The wires have all been checked and aren't showing any problems. I have taken the window switches out as they aren't always working so I am thinking it could be something to do with them but im not sure if this would make the locks and the lights play up.

Thank you for the reply. Not fair that you had to foot the bill when the problem was clearly because the screen wasn't fitted correctly! I haven't had any work done on the car other than service, brakes and exhaust so im thinking if water has got in then it must be wear and tear. I will have a look for the control module and see if i can see anything that looks like water has got in. The windows today have decided they aren't going to let me open them at all using the control panel, its like pot luck each day as to what I am going to get :0(

Fabia 09 Lights flashing, Locking/unlocking and opening windows by its self
Last week my neighbor rang to tell me my car was doing strange things like it was possessed or after a part in Herbie goes bananas. Sure enough it was flashing its indicators, locking/unlocking the doors and both the windows had opened. I tried to close the windows by the controls on the drivers side but as soon as I locked the door they would open again. I then tried locking the doors from the passenger side and this seemed to work until about 10 minutes later when I looked out so see the windows were open again and the rain was having a nice time soaking into my seats. The window control panel then decided it wasn't going to work at all so I had to lock and unlock the car several times until the windows decided to shut and then quickly disconnect the battery to keep them closed. When the battery was reconnected the next day everything seemed fine but as I drove along suddenly the car went into full on hissy fit mode with the windows opening, lights flashing and the locking system making a rhythm a DJ would be proud of. I managed to pull over and turned the car off for a bit which stopped the lights but the windows wouldn't close. After half an hour of driving in subzero temperatures with added gale force wind much to my delight the windows decided they would close after all. When parked up safely back at home the car decided it didn't fancy locking and it wanted the windows open and to do its little light show. Again it had to be tricked into closing the windows by me using the key in the lock numerous times and then quickly disconnecting the battery. I have looked for obvious signs of water damage, broken wires ect but I can't spot anything easily. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :0)

New member looking for advice
Hello 👋👋 I have had my skoda fabia 09 plate for almost 3 years now and it's been a well behaved car up until now. Im not sure if it is now possessed and needs a priest or if it has a little problem that someone on this forum could help with. So before I crack out the garlic and crosses I thought I'd better say hi!!
