  1. Does anyone know of a good independent garage specialising in electronics in the Swansea/South Wales area, as I have an electrical issue with my Skoda Superb Mk3 and the main dealer doesn't have any appointments for over a month? I have a problem with the doors locking/not locking; also, the windows do not work that well - they’re jerky and sometimes unresponsive - and the engine management light is permanently on. The doors have been an intermittent issue ever since I purchased the vehicle, but most garages don’t seem to be able to resolve it. Thanks, Andrew
  2. Hello, Hello, I have a problem with the doors. The two front doors do not lock so that when the car is locked with the fob and the doors are opened the alarm goes off. Additionally one of the rear doors will not open from the outside, only from the inside. Also, the engine warning light is orange - when the car was serviced a few weeks ago by a local garage I was told that the diagnostic test indicated that the glow plugs need replacing, but the garage told me that I would need to go to an electrical specialist for this and the door issue. I took the car to an electrical specialist today, but they told me I would need to go to a main dealer as the diagnostic test indicated multiple faults, suggesting a problem with the central control unit which might need replacing, rather than with the individual door locks or glow plugs. I am not aware of any other faults. Before I contact the main dealer I thought I would post here. Does anyone know how much replacing the control unit (if needed) is likely to cost? Thanks! Andrew
