Hi I found that the front assist on my car only gives visual and audio warnings as stated above. I eventually saw that when travelling too close to the vehicle in front particularly on a motorway a small graphic is displayed which would easily be missed anyway. Eventually the close proximity warning was displayed ie a red cross and audio beep when an approaching car got too close. Either way on my car no action such as breaking happens automatically. Hope this helps.

We do a lot of touring and get fed up with limited shelf space in the Octavia when we stop for coffee and a snack. I made this, will test tomorrow on an outing. Maybe get a happy meal! Only to be used when parked up of course ..

The car is 2016 and the filter was dated 2018 so looks to have been changed at 2 years. Fair amount of large debris up to about 5mm. Hard to tell on the fine particulates but did feel heavy

Following advice on this forum I changed the cabin filter. I used a Bosch r2543 which fitted perfectly (activated carbon). Cost under £11 delivered and 5 minute job. I have a 2016 1.4tsi.

Hi I have a 2016 Octavia se l which is great. Having had it for about a month and doing lots of searching on the web, I am still unsure what front assist features are operating. Every thing is ticked ,see pic. But I have seen no evidence of these while driving, is this normal? Thanks in advance

Hi I have generic odb port reader. I was interested if there is reader that the casual user could use that would tell if there were any errors on the car. I am particularly interested if any of my sensors, such as front assist are not working correctly. Thanks in advance.

Last word from me and what I did. Managed luckily to get a brand new alloy same as fitted, Velorum for 50 squids. A new mid range tyre fitted 60. 205,55,16. A vw jack, 20 and wrench, 10. Hopefully will not need them! By the way the spare fitted exactly in the wheel well, the top of the wheel level with the cargo floor.

Hi I have just bought a 1.4 se l dsg 2016 and love the car. It didn't come with a spare just the repair kit. I am sourcing a full size spare and will need a jack. Would any generic scissor jack be ok or do i need a specific skoda one. Thanks in advance
