  1. 28. 26 when i bought it still going strong
  2. leave the keys beside the door i say, get new for old insurance. a car is easier replaced than your face.
  3. i was just wondering if anybody out there knows of a wide body kit or something similar for the vrs tfsi. but the last thing i want is a crappy in your face kit that looks like it should be shoe-horned to a civic. im very oem+ minded and i'd reckon most people on here are a well, or if anybodys good at the old photoshop i'd like to see a pro give it a shot.
  4. well yes:rofl: but you can get 19" as an option in australia so i dont think 20's would be toooo over the top, although 19's probably would be the best option anybody with pics or ideas?
  5. hey there , was thinking of getting 20" rs4 alloys for the vrs. any body running 20's or maybe 19's Wheelbase - official ACE, DeCorsa and Konig distributor in the UK
  6. hey guys just a quick but interesting question, as ye have put up more miles on the tfsi engine has anybody noticed fuel economy raise or lower, im not talking about running in first 8000 miles or so but people with 50000 miles or over whats the mpg like?
  7. dont you get the option to buy the car back, i know on my policy you have first refusil on the car. it would be interesting to see how much they would be looking for it, if of cource they would sell it.
  8. just a quick thought. check for corrosion on the batterys or more lightly look for a loose earth possibly on the altanator, might save you a few pounds, oh and ps have a look at the fuses could save you a few pounds.
  9. ya give us a shout on prices i might be interested.
  10. first of all talk to the owner or someone fairly high up to start with, tell them look, i like your buisness i also like my car, so you take care of that scrape and im sure we can do buisness in the future. if they start getting ****ty with you its amazing what a raised voice in a showroom with possible customers in earshot can do. best of luck and let us know what happens.
  11. right so vag-com it is so cheers men.
  12. not trying to be smart here guyes( or mabey i am) but as far as i can see its the same princable as a carboned up diesel , its the load you put on the engine not the revs you run at, you could be in a low gear reving at 3000 all day and it would do no good as there is no load, but a higher gear at lower revs = more load and more heat = regeneration ? what do ye think?
  13. has anyone here see used or had experience with this item?eBay.ie: LATEST VOLKSWAGEN SEAT SKODA CAR FAULT CODE READER U281 (item 380016025188 end time 19-Apr-08 16:15:03 BST)
  14. you should be allright, yould probably have done damage if you put the clamps on the calibra first. ifs theres no check engine light you should be ok, hey if your still under warrenty tell your dealer you thought you saw the check engine light flicker and theyll vag com it to check for fault codes for free, dont tell them about jump leads though.
  15. hey there the check engine light on my 06 petrol vrs comes on for a period of time and sometimes stayes on after startup and might not reappear for a few days. any thoughts lads?
