1st Line - 2500kg - Gross Vehicle Weight 2nd Line - 4800kg - Gross Train Weight 3rd Line - 1250kg - Maximum front axle load 4th Line - 1300kg - Maximum rear axle load The maximum towing capacity can be calculated by subtracting the gross vehicle weight from the gross train weight. If the weight in the 1st and 2nd line are identical or line 2 doesn't contain a value, then your towing capacity is zero kg. This means that your car manufacturer has concluded that your car is not capable of towing.

I didn't order towbar prep (on the dealers advice as I only plan to use it for a bike rack) The info is pretty similar (I have the hatch rather than the estate/combi). I assume that the two figures 1 and 2 are braked and un-braked towing weights.

Hi Can anyone share photos of VRS towbar install? OEM or aftermarket, interested to see how it would look before I go ahead myself.

Yep, was told to expect 10 weeks when I ordered, it didn't take long to realise that that would have been very optimistic.

Having put my order to the back of my mind for several weeks I emailed the dealer for an update and got a reply with screenshots showing it waiting at the port to be shipped to the UK. Whether it is complete or not I can't be sure there's lots of info in the screenshots and it does say "In port of exit released". I ordered week 2, eventually was given a preliminary build date of week 27. Car was built week 23, so fingers crossed I'll have it soon.

I got an update from my dealer this week, I finally have a build week: week 27 although he expects that to come forward shortly. I ordered week 2 and was expecting about a 10 week wait. I'm not sure I can wait 'til July I may have to think of an alternative (currently driving the in-laws 2nd car since mine was returned last week)...

Hi, New here I figured I'd add my experience. I ordered an Octavia VRS TSi 2.0 VRS DSG Meteor Grey on 13th January, initially told 10 weeks. Still waiting for a build date, so I guess it's at least a month off. Need to sort a car as a stop gap as my current car goes back in just over a week .
