  1. Hi everyone! I bought my Skoda Fabia III in November 2020 (manufactured 2015). KESSY inside. From the moment of purchase, the car gave a signal that it was necessary to change the battery in the key, but the former owner said that only one key needed to change the battery, so I thought that even if it was discharged, I would have one more working key and a that I will change the battery later. I did not thoroughly check the keys, I just pointed out that one key normally unlocking the car, and the other can do that occasionally. By the way, none of them had an working LED lamp on, so I didn't even know that it was there. I didn’t see my keys later (till yesterday), as they were in my pockets all the time. However, yesterday I could not open the car, as it turned out, both keys were discharged (or even just did not work). I have replaced the batteries in both keys, but nothing has changed. The LED lights were off, and again, I didn't even know they existed there. The manual said about how to synchronize the key after replacing the battery, but it did not help. On the forum, I found other ways from other models, but they did not help either. I spent about two hours getting in and out of the car, and after ineffectual actions, disappointed, I began to put in place the plastic key cover on a handle, accidentally touched the sensor and it worked! A LED light turned on on one of the keys, and I realized that it was one who was working. Now I don't even know the sequence of actions I did the last time for syncing the key. How can i sync another one? Actual question is: can you describe the POSSIBLE actions that can synchronize the key? Was it important to block/unblock the door via sensor on a handle as i did, or my key was synced before that? What I did (but obviously, didn`t worked out): 1) Press any button on the key (I've tried every button) and then unlock the door with a mechanical key 2) Press any button on the key (I've tried every button) and then lock the door with a mechanical key 3) Press any button on the key (I've tried every button) and then lock and unlock the door with a mechanical key 4) Press any button on the key (I've tried every button) and then unlock and lock the door with a mechanical key + 5,6,7,8: I tried the same thing, but before that I pulled out the battery and waited for a minute (as i found out on forums, to reset some presets in the key itself) After each option, I tried to start the car, but every time I received a message: the key was not detected. Maybe I shouldn't have done it after each attempt? PS. I thought that there might be a problem with the key, but if i bring it to the start / stop button, the car will recognize it and start (by the way, why is it not written anywhere that you can only start the car this way ONLY if there is NO BATTERY in the key! I spent about half an hour poking with the key into the spaces under the steering wheel or to the side of it to find the sensor. It turned out that it was necessary to remove the battery!)
