I bought mine in 2021. It was about 9 months old with low mileage. Up till then I'd had bigger cars ( Jaguar, Audi A6) but I wanted to downsiz3 but not too far. I really love it. Good performance and comfortable for its size..only issues are with the software.

I meant to come back to the forum but forgot until now. I STILL cannot update the software. Neither suggestion has worked. If I turn the ignition off, the update message disappears. The message always appears when I am driving. I click on "update" but nothing ever happens. I did ask Skoda UK about this but they ignored my question.

I keep getting messages while driving saying that a software update is available but not while I am driving. There are two options "more information" or "remind me later" (I think) . Nothing happens when I press them and the message disappears. I have tried pulling over to the side of the road, putting the gear into "Park" (leaving the engine running and then pressing the update button but, again, the message idsappears and nothing happens. Finally, I have tried pulling over and switching off the engine but, again the message disappears. There is an option to update the software from the settings screen but this doesn't work as when I click on "search for updates" it goes roun and round until I gave up. I do want to update the software if I can but it doesn't seem possible. Thanks

I was able to cancel the order I placed with Skodas head office in Czech Republic via the car and to reorder through Skoda Uks website. This was very easy to do in the end but Skoda UK must have known .

I'm saying that both Skoda and Skoda UK (I assume that they are one and the same) ripping me off by insisting that I pay the fee to the Czech company, which involves an international bank transfer, instead of to the UK company by credit or debit card which would be a UK transaction. My previous car was an Audi and if I ever needed to buy anything I either went through the dealer or, occasionally, Audi UK. Both the local dealer (Marshalls Northampton) and Skoda UK were unable to help and said that everything has to be done via the main Skoda company in the Czech Republic. What's the point of having Skoda UK if they can't sort out something which should be as simple as this.

Not only is the system unreliable but it is downright dangerous. I programmed a destination in Tamworth that involved driving North on the M1 and then West on the M6. As I approached the M1/M6 junction, the voice said "keep right on M1 North" which seemed bizarre as I knew that I had to turn left onto the M6. It said this again until I had passed the first slip road to the M6 (there is a second slip road lane further on) when it suddenly said "turn left onto the M6". I had already made this turn but if I had been a stranger the system would have wanted me to swerve to the left at the last minute across traffic. There must be some way of reporting this but Skoda UK seem to be useless as everything is done in the Czech Republic.

I've now got the information from my bank but because the payment is to be made in pounds sterling, my bank says that I have to pay a fee of £20 so it is going to cost me £64 to update a satnav system on a car I bought 3 months ago. Why can[t I pay the money to Skoda UK? This is a real rip off

It's not only the £44 but I have to send the money to Skoda's bank in the Czech Republic. Heaven knows how I do this. The local dealer and Skoda UK were absolutely useless.

Thanks for quick response. I was able to delete the previous destinations in accordance with your advice but the map is still not showing street names except for certain main roads.

Hi. I've just bought a 2020 Scala SE L and have two queries about the sat nav system please. 1. I cannot work out how to delete previous destinations without a complete factory reset which seems over the top. 2. The map is only showing one or two street names. I can't see an option to change this. Thanks
