Karoq Panoramic Sunroof Seal
Thanks Chris. If it was a cheap enough repair, I wouldn't be that fussed but the prices I've seen are bonkers. I actually found a clip on YouTube of a guy with a 2028 Tiguan with the same issue. On a few forums there have been posts about it. Some animals/birds/vermin mist have a rubber fetish it seems. Dealer first to ask the question and failing that a bit of sealant as a quick fix

Thanks for the reply. It's actually due to go into the Dealer soon for a 16 month (ongoing) software/camera issue so I will give that a go as you say. It just looks weird.

Karoq Panoramic Sunroof Seal
Hi I've ordered black silicone sealant in the mean time. No way I'm paying Β£800+ for the seal to be replaced. I enjoyed the car for the first year or so but lately it's beginning to be a bit of a letdown. This is just another flaw

Karoq Panoramic Sunroof Seal
Washed the car today and as I was cleaning the sunroof, to my surprise/horror, I noticed damaged to the seal. No idea how our when this happened. I've seen another post about it and it may have been birds but wtf? Is that even possible? Birds randomly attacking rubber seals? My car is a 2020 sportsline with 17k on the clock. Car is still under Warranty but would I be wasting my time?

Sportline Alloy Wheel Blemish
"lucky" maybe with regards to these wheels but not a term I'd use with regards to the car itself. On a side note, I'm pretty much done with "diamond cut" alloys. Flawed design imo. Last car was an Audi A5 with "rotor" alloys and although they took longer to blemish, once it started it looked horrendous. I've walked past other Audi's with "rotor" alloys with the same faded finish after the deterioration starts. Researching this on the Karoq was a bit of an eye opener

Sportline Alloy Wheel Blemish
The area is completely "flush". No raised area at all. Would a stone chip not have damaged the surface?

Sportline Alloy Wheel Blemish
Aye, diamond cut alloys are definitely not "all that". I think I'll be getting rid this year. Alloys starting to go already. 19" wheels are already not a great set up, ride wise. This is just another issue. I already had abnormal outside edge tyre wear and that was put down to a consequence of the alloy size π. Car looks great but tyre wear, alloy wheel issues, rear camera issues and timing belt replacement cost are things I wasn't really expecting.

Sportline Alloy Wheel Blemish
Thanks for reply. Do you think it is a pointless exercise saying to the Dealer if the car is under 3 x years old with 14k miles?. I was hoping to own the car for around 5 x years but so far it has disappointed me. This is another issue that has cropped up. I've also just read about the timing belt cost. Think it will be leaving the family quite soon

Sportline Alloy Wheel Blemish
Another potential issue I found today while washing the car. I noticed a mark on a rear alloy. Car is always hand washed. Mainly use AutoGlym, Meguiars or Auto Finesse products. Alloy has never been kerbed.

The Camera Parking System Is Currently Unavailable
My car is a Karoq Sportline. It has 14k miles and registered December 2020. I took ownership of it as an ex-demonstrater with around 400 x miles in April 2021. It started throwing up this error after a few months. I didn't bother as I new it was under warranty and I'd get to the bottom of it. However, after around 6 x trips to the Dealer for this issue, I'm starting to run out of patience. Has anyone else had this error? If so, did you get a solution? So far the camera has been changed, software reset, reinstalled and updated, wiring has been checked, and recently a new control module was fitted but the fault still persists. I've also been told it may be a symptom of the car i.e. The camera shouldn't be on when going forward and just last week I was told it may be electromagnetic interference in the areas where it happens π² The way this fault generally happens is - reverse out drive (rear camera displays footage on the infotainment screen) Stop then select first gear (camera turns off and system moves in to Park Distance Control) Drive off. Park distance control remains on the screen while I'm increasing speed then after around 5 x seconds, the screen jumps to the fault

Tyre Wear - Karoq Sportline 1.5 tsi 2020
Literally this is my issue but mine is a sportline 1.5. the car has done around 10500 miles now and I got the car with only 450 miles on it. I know how I drive and I know I haven't got any pot holes so I'm in the same boat. I'm getting new tyres on the front next week (Hankook) and I'll be getting the tracking checked as well

Tyre Wear - Karoq Sportline 1.5 tsi 2020
Apologies for the delay. I didn't get any notifications through. My car was at the Dealers over a week ago and what I've been told is,........................it is unfortunately a characteristic of this particular model running 19" wheels. Did anyone have a contact for Skoda customer services. I wanted to follow up on this, with them. Ive noticed the new Sportline is supplied with 18s now. That is interesting. I'm now at 10k miles. I hoped to get 12k from the fronts which I may do, but I'm not accepting that "that's just the way it is" for the outside wear "issue".

The Camera Parking System Is Currently Unavailable - Karoq Sportline 1.5 (2020)
I'm getting this error several times a day. Usually I get in my car, start it up, my phone connects to the infotainment (Android Auto). When I start to reverse, the camera on the rear works fine (clearly displayed on the screen). After my referees manoeuvre, as I'm driving away, I get this error. The dealer has replaced the camera, checked the wiring, assistant "reset" the system and has done software updates, but the error still persists. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, can you advise on the solution please

Tyre Wear - Karoq Sportline 1.5 tsi 2020
I'm spoilt for choice here. Henry's North or South or Arnold Clark. Who would you recommend? Going back to my original post. In summary, I'm closer to 50 than I am to 20. I've lived in my area for practically my whole life and had different cars ranging from Escort MK3, Peugeot 106 XSI, Passat and others along the way. The Karoq is the newest I've had the chance of owning. In my opinion, and that's all it is, the outside edge of the tyres is wearing abnormally. I've never noticed that on any other cars I've owned in the past. My driving these days is "careful" to say the least. If I thought it was my driving style, I wouldn't have wasted anyones' time on this forum. I was hoping others had possibly seem the same issues with their Karoq and possibly the same tyres (Turanaza). A few people have commented on their wear and the tyres. As for the dealers, as the car is still under Warranty, I have limited options that I can use. The car is now approx 16 x months old but has only covered 9100 miles. I actually have been less surprised if the tyres at the front were needing replaced because the whole tyre was worn not just the edge. Ive also learned that sarcasm doesn't really work. I thank everyone for their inputs though even if I don't agree with them allπ Going forward, regardless of what the Dealer says, I'll be getting the alignment checked and the new front tyres will not be Turanazas.
