  1. I did take the internal tailgate panels off, but it turns out that I didn't need to - but good practice anyway! Both the electrical and water supply fittings just pop out of the roof externally. The spoiler appears to have been glued on with some kind of black gunk / mastik, rather than an adhesive strip - and it's much thicker than most of the 3m double sided tape that I've seen, which are about 1mm thick. Also, there is a clear track / indentation / furrow moulded into the spoiler where the adhesive / tape needs to go, so 1mm is never going to be thick enough. It needs to be about 2 or 3 mm thick, otherwise it won't bridge the gap between car and spoiler. So... Is there a thicker 3m spoiler tape which is suitable? Alternatively, is there a tube of adhesive which is suitable (despite the original becoming unstuck...) It looks as though it's going to be really difficult to fit as the spoiler fits into a wedge-shaped nook, so any tape could get stuck quite easily in the wrong position! Thanks very much for any help!
  2. Thanks Danoid I asked Kopacek for a pdf (i.e. installation guide) for the product, but they haven't replied. There are 2 cables* from the spoiler to the car and I'd like to get some info on how to unplug them so I can safely take off the spoiler to clean it. Do I have to take off the panels inside the tailgate to get to the connectors? I just don't want to break anything! I've searched online and found nothing. *Is RHS brake power and LHS rear washer water supply? (see pic)
  3. I'm looking at "3M Double sided Acrylic Foam Tape CP5108 Automotive Tape" which is 5mm wide x 3 metres long but ionly 0.8mm thick, which seems much thinner than the original strip of adhesive - it seems to be about 3mm thick. Am I on the right track with this sort of tape? Thanks. https://www.amazon.co.uk/CANOPUS-Mounting-Acrylic-Automotive-Surfaces/dp/B089SQT249 eBay3M Double sided Acrylic Foam Tape CP5108, Automotive Tape...3M cp5108 DOUBLE SIDED ACRYLIC FOAM TAPE. 3M acrylic foam tape CP5108 is characterized by good peel and shear adhesion, high initial adhesion, good low temperature application performance. 4. Update: Not a very positive reply from kopacek.com: "Hello, this product is original Skoda product for which we strongly recommend professional installation. We don´t have any installation kit available. Contact any local garage. Regards, Magdalena" So... any ideas, folks? Any permanent - or temporary - DIY/official solutions? (note: I need to blast up the motorway this Saturday.... gaffer tape?!) Thanks!
  5. Thanks so much - that's extremely helpful - I'll drop them a line!
  6. Yes, the brake light is integrated (see new pics attached).
  7. Hello all. I suddenly noticed that the rear window spoiler (sorry if that's the wrong word for it) on my Skoda Superb Estate Mk3 (2017 reg) has come loose on the left hand side & urgently needs to be re-attached. Can I do this myself? Someone suggested Tiger Seal but warned: "but if you ever need to take it off again, you'll end up destroying the spoiler ..." Is there a VW/Skoda fixing kit? Cost? Would the advice be to get it done properly by someone who knows what they're doing?! Thanks very much in advance for any advice.
  8. Sadly, I did not. No-one replied at all unfortunately. I'd still like to find out how to take the glove box out/apart...
  9. Hi all. I have the same issue with my Skoda Superb 2017 glove compartment opening by itself. The little catches are very lazy at springing out, so I need to check the springs inside or the little gear that gives them parallel motion. I'm able to release the top of the glove box, but does anyone know how to release the hinges so I can take the whole thing out? Do they pop out? Or do you need to tease out the spigot of the hinge? I don't want to break anything. Pictures attached. Thanks very much for any help.
  10. Hello. I have a 2017 Skoda Superb 1.6 SE Technology TDI Greenline and I need to replace the aircon condenser. I'm in North London and I've been quoted £868.54 inc VAT at a local garage (quote below): "3.0hr x £95.00+vat Condenser £363.79+vat R134a refrigerant £74.99+vat TOTAL COST: £868.54 inc vat" Does that sound steep to you? Any top advice about who else to try - but someone who is very VW/Skoda friendly? Thanks very much for any help.
  11. Hello SashaGrace Which company fitted your reversing camera please? I've just bought a Skoda Superb Estate 1.6 SE Technology TDI Greenline 5D 118 BHP Diesel and would like to fit a reversing camera that fully integrates into the central console (just like a factory original). Thanks very much.
