  1. So, my next quesiton is, where can I get hold of a new door lock mechanism with the right part number? (I dont have a part number)
  2. Checked all my solders, and had a look along the rest of the loom. No ohter obvious breaks or shorts in the wiring. Pretty sure they are working fine. At least they were before I repaired the loom. I'll check again tomorrow.
  3. Hi all, I have a 2012 model Roomster. For a while now I have been having issues with my driver door central locking: it would lock, but not unlock via the key fob or centre console button, and eventually it stopped working all together (all other doors still locked and unlocked via the key fob). I never really gave it much attention as i just used the key to lock and unlock the drivers door. Next my windows started playing up, eventually losing all power to my drivers door switches. I discovered quite a few broken wires where the loom enters the door at the hinge. I repaired the loom, and was hopeful that this would solve my problems. It did solve the problem of my windows working, however, now my central locking fuse is blowing - meaning I cannot lock or unlock any door exept the drivers door (with the key). I replaced the fuse, turned the ignition on and it blew again straight away. A friend, who is more car savvy suggested I take the plastic trim off the drivers door and disconnect the wiring loom from the lock unit to see if the fuse still blew. It did. So i disconnected everything else (electric window motor, door speaker, heated mirror) and this time the fuse did not blow. Next I reconnected everything one by one and discovered that by connecting my electric window motor, the central locking fuse blew. Commence head scratching.... So the stage i'm at now is.... the door is back together with the electric window motor disconnected. My central locking is working to lock all doors remotely, but I can only unlock my drivers door physically with the key. If the doors lock when i'm in the car, i need to climb out the passenger side which is a great laugh at 6'4". So, if anyone has any ideas about what could be causing this problem, or how to fix it, that would be most appreciated. I'm initially thinking a new lock unit for my driver door at the very least. Dare I say, my background is in motorcycle mechanics, so doors, central locking, and electric windows are a foreign subject to me... lol
  4. Hi, I'm Andy. I've been driving Skoda for about a decade now. My first Skoda was a 2002 Fabia, and then I moved onto a 2012 Roomster which I have had since 2014.
