  1. Hi, I've just had a similar problem. It wouldn't start, so I cleaned the points, continued with my day and ordered a new cap and arm. Cap arrived, problem was solved for a bit until it wasn't. New rotor arm has just arrived. The car wouldn't start before I fitted it and now it won't afterwards so I feel it may be hall sensor or coil. How do I know which? Can I know? Is it just coincidence that whenever I got stranded, it only ran after I tried to clean the points?
  2. Hello, I have an issue with the thermostat on my Felicia Fun 1.6 MPI where it is allowing coolant through the 'large circuit' and radiator all the time. This is causing the engine to run at very low temperatures and run rich. I'm assuming it's the cause for it running rich as I replaced the temp and O2 sensors recently and the radiator heats up immediately after starting without the engine getting up to even 70 degrees. I've heard that this is down to the thermostat or thermostat housing being cracked or dead but I am not sure if I need to replace both or just the thermostat within. I also hear that reproduction parts for these can be poor quality and won't last very long. If anyone knows what I should replace and a reliable source for either new old stock or good quality reproduction parts, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
