  1. Thanks again Mike. Will take a crack at checking these tomorrow. If you don't mind would you let me know what you would check from first to last with such issue? So I have something to go by when checking! Lol
  2. Thanks for the reply @MikeTheThinker and yes sorry I should have said it is a saloon. Yes the part number of mine is 1Z5 827 501 D and that is what I was going to change first with hope that this would cure it - before I read into it a bit more and realized it could be a number of things! By checking the operating solenoid do you mean the part at the bottom (part number 1Z0 827 511 C) or if it is something else can you let me know what part? Is there a chance of messing anything else up by poking around at this fault? I would happily keep opening the boot from the inside but I need to get the car through MOT and I think this will fail? Thanks again
  3. Hi guys, I'm new here and could really do with some help urgently! I hope I am posting this in the correct place. 2007 mk2 Skoda Octavia and the boot won't open from the outside either with the key or the button to open the boot. I can however open it from the inside from the emergency release. My question is does anyone know what part I most likely need to replace? Is it the part number 1Z5827501D or 1Z9827511C (if you could google them to see that would be great). Also, by changing either of these parts is it likely to mess up anything else central locking related? Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!
