Hi technics100, How did it go? I have just retrofitted cruise control to my 03 classic superb with an ebay kit from cum_cartec. The instructions were terrible but it appears to work and the speed control seems to function correctly. I have to ask though, does this car have a cruise control light in the dash panel? If so, my light does not work. I looked on ELSAWin and no cruise control symbol is shown on the dash panel insert there. If anyone has questions on fitting this, you are welcome to ask me and I'll try to help. Hugh. EDIT: Just found post from 2009 stating no cruise control light exists on MK1 Superb.

You can get the system from rclick in the UK. They sell on ebay for about 40 euro. Fitting is required. See thread "Retrofitting Remote Locking Fitting Guide".

Exactly what is the correct grade / spec of oil? I have a QG1 96KW AWX engine. The book says VW 506 01 or VW 506 00 - does not apply to unit injection engine.???? I feel like the original document was badly translated from chinese or korean...as clear as mud. What are they on about??? I dont even know for sure whether I have a PD angine or not. Its nowhere in the book or on any stickers. Most forums say the 130bhp is a PDi engine though marked TDi. How can any sane person tell?
