I have a mk 2 Skoda Octavia elegance estate. I would like to fit a reversing camera to my tail lift but using my tail lift opening catch. I have seen these on EBay with the catch and camera fitted. To see what type of catch I would need to take the panels off. I don’t want to do that. Any ideas on the type of camera catch I would need? For I think there are different sizes? Also is there a different radio I can fit?

I recently put a post about the reversing Buzzer being low sounding. I bought the item of E-Bay. And had it fitted by a Skoda garage. I was going to replace it with a genuine skoda item. But was told they only sell the complete system for about £300 pluses fitting? The question is Can you just buy the Buzzer and if so where from. The item of E-Bay was £7. Any help would be good.

I asked them to fit it for me do to the distance from the garage, and could not guarantee the item or to repair it on the day? For I need the car urgently. So they reluctantly fitted it. I will get a new one from a Skoda supplier, that should sort the problem out? Thanks for your help, I will not go down the cheap route again, Leart my lesson.

I have a Skoda Octavia mk 2 estate 1.9cc , I have recently bought a new buzzer from e-bay and had it fitted by a Skoda dealer garage. But the sound is very faint and my turn indicators sound faint? His there a way to turn up the volume on both??

I have a Skoda Octavia my 2 estate 1.9 diesel, I have bought a buzzer from EBay and had it fitted by the Skoda garage. But the buzzer is very quite. Also the direction indicators are very quite since having the buzzer changed? Any ideas on how to increase the sounds?

It's a 19ltr skoda TDI and pings like a petrol car, only does it when accelerating?

I have a Skoda Octavia mk 2 diesel 19 cc . My engine seems to ping when accelerating? Is this a problem that can be recovered.

No not now ,decided to put it into garage.

It’s a Skoda Octavia 1.9 diesel estate 2005 model (mk2). tried walking and open bonnet and boot. It’s definitely coming from the centre of the engine, at the top just under the plastic engine cover. It sounds like something is spinning? But it’s half under the cover.

It comes on soon as you switch the ignition on ( without engine running) carn’t tell if making noise with engine on, I assume it does ?

Hi all I am a newbie so forgive me I am doing something wrong? I have a whining noise from the front of my engine? Not shore if it’s AT or a NT valve. It comes on after I turn ignition on, and goes off about a minute after switching ignition off? Any ideas what it could be?
