Got email from my dealer... not yet ready. They are 105 days into the contract. 15 more remaining(3 weeks)

I dont work for companies that see their customers as $$.... a company is build by 2 factors : workers and customers. If you dont value both you are destined to fail... Again i dont care if they have problems or cant deliver. I care for transparency. Dont make promises and be honest with your customers. They could have done a page to check your status and show you the number you have in the Queue... but they wont do it... $$$$

You sound like someone that is working or supporting them. 1st of all they made multiple promises to people and that was before the contract. Many examples here... 2nd of all they cant even make an estimate given a world where there are tracking numbers for thongs from ali-express... come on... really? car build week 30 estimated completion week 40... or keep you posted on progress like a valued costumer... 3rd no way to back out here 10% 3000 euro lose

For me personally this is the first and last skoda i will ever buy... i dont care if they have delays or lack parts. The fact they prioritize cars just to meet certain stuff means they dont value me as costumer. I told my local dealer i need the car by certain date... what they offered was to make discount on rent a car... not even thinking of making me happy to get a car just for the trip for free... they specifically put those long contract times 120 150 days... so they dont have to give you anything... I dont feel valued as a costumer at all... which for me is important. For sure other members here feel the same... many missed trips unhappy faces not knowing when... changes in delivery times... For me its all disappointing experience... the happiness is gone.. the excitement as well

Had a quick check with my dealer(the one in charge of all the ones in my part of the world) Good news is they continue to finish cars(parts are available as it seems the factory is working for how long no one knows) Bad news is they havent worked during the 2 weeks period...

According to news skoda has problems with esp chips... those are related to stability and given this i doubt they can ship...

Welcome to the **** world of skoda... i wound never ever accept contract that doesnt point an exact date in time that fits me.... they abuse their costumers. You cant back off... any car i would ever order wil be with set dates and i wont trust dealers...

At least they reply to you. My queries to the infoline are dead in the water : ) My local dealer moved the case up the chain so i got a proper answer finally but news were not good...

They were telling me the same until it was build and now getting rust on a parking lot with another 55 000 cars... Ask for Build week. Then ad another 8 weeks on top of that to get it finished. Then around 4 weeks to have it at your local dealer...

Dont trust them. They have a lot of cars waiting to be finished. They gave me the same 3m bul****...

You can check the delivery times topic. It has a lot of links to news sites. Basically depending on the equipment level and the Semiconductors in the car you get delayed or not... its a total mess...

Its not that bad at least. But the 120 days end October.. way after the summer and the car will be with the summer tires

I dont think there is anything in our law that forbids them to collect it. They put their terms and conditions that are usually bad for the customer and great for the seller. Like the one that says you have 3 days to wire the 10% or no deal. Then they put 120 businesses days in the contract to deliver and say if they dont they will give you 0.1% of the upfront 10% per day back. You lose your deposit if you say I dont want to wait. Keep in mind in Bulgaria the minimum wage is around 350€. The average wage is around 800€ depending on location. So for a car that cost 28000€ they charge you up front 2800€. So you are tied and unable to make any move than wait.... this is why I am bothered most. 😕 i at least deserve some information given how much they have charged me...

Can't cancel without them getting the 10% i have paid. This makes the situation that bad. I have been given false hopes and then nothing. The dealer is not making a single finger move around the situation. They put bad terms in the contract and make you sign... if you dont they wont sell... i dont know how is in uk, but i cant cancel nor get any update.

1.5 tsi mhev edition version in skoda bulgaria(only in the configuration menu) plus just a few extras self parking is the most expensive one.

They for sure know how many cars are waiting for parts. Even if they dont know when will they have the parts,they can estimate based on past deliveries min/max waiting time... my son can do the excel to to the math... he is 4... Unfortunately patients when you have plans is not something we can afford. Good customer support does their best to make you happy, bad support uses a list of predefined templates to make you shut up...

I get it that there is an issue. Water shortages in ASIA etc, but what i dont get is the lack of estimate and transparency. You cant hide behind something and not give information. If tomorrow i say sorry I cant pay you my lease these months will they wait? No.. they will ask me why and when.

Well the Title says it all... We live in Bulgaria. Decide to order a car and selected the Octavia. Paid a good amount of money up front in April and were told the car will be build in week 24. They tied their contract by saying 120 working days so they are still in the agreed times but as a customer i am very disappointed. Called the local dealer - he replied multiple times with a simple " Car not yet build" reply Called him said the same and said the semiconductors bul**** that is now the buzzword when something is not on time. Called the factory told me no information is available at first and to talk to the dealer... after some pressure, they gave me an update that the car is build but waiting for parts.(same semiconductor bul****) When i asked if there is a list and how many cars wait and where is ours in that list they declined the information. Switched back to the dealer and told him the car is build but pending parts. 3 weeks later he confirmed it to me.... as its something new. So I am left in the blind, summer is almost at its end. Family is unhappy as we were told week 24 and were quite excited about it. Now i am the bad guy for ruining the plans(car was a part of them) Can you believe that a company in 21st Century cant even make a estimate of when?In an era of digital information i personally cant.... The list is there they can easily say you are number 1000 we estimate if current deliveries are on time to have it week 54... This whole experience is a joke... I doubt i will ever get a Skoda again, customer support is a must these days.. A friend order a VW car... got it on time, no delays...

in mine its 120 business days. Seems like its Octavia related due to he volumes they have. The dealer told me the current buzz word... chip shortage

The 6 month period is per contract. If they fail to deliver in that time you get your money back or have some sum deducted from the price. Usually depending on extras seems like 3 to 5m is the time from order to delivery. Some more uncommon extras take longer(heater for example)

Ordered mid April. Manufactur week 24(now) Order is in Bulgaria. We have active, ambition, style, edition,rs and scout as options I ordered the edition with a few extras 1.5 dsg mhev.

You can mostly get active travel assist with distancing and sign recognition but it will bot let you take your hands off the wheel and it might get confused on corners so its a bit 50 50:) i skipped that one on our build. The distance alert(on the dash) is sufficient for any driver to speed down the car if needed. Jam assist is tbe only feature that acc seems to provide that is useful

Bolero does have maps but you have to upgrade 390 euro was the last price(there is a screenshot somewhere here) Sign recognition is part of a package(at least here) and it wants columbus indeed, but it should be possible to work without it. Line assist has nothing to do with navigation. ACC does due to some reason...
