Thanks for all your swift responses. I don't have the codes. The guy at my local garage is really helpful and friendly but he was sure it was the block and not sensors on the wheels etc. Don't know whether his diagnostic equipment is specific enough for Skoda issues. The car is driving fine. I get a message that the brakes need attention when I start up but after that no problem. I'm down in the south near Carcassonne so it is a long journey but financially it could make sense and I could combine with finally seeing some family if things open up a bit more. I got the idea that a new block in the UK would be about £450 and to send mine off and have it repaired about £250. Are those figures in the right region?

I live in France and have 2012 Skoda Yeti 2.0 Tdi 110hp. Recently all the warning lights connected with ABS system are illuminated. My local garage ran a diagnostic and told me the ABS 'bloc' would have to be replaced. He and all other garages I have tried say they can replace ABS bloc but the unit will need re-programming. A dealer has to do that. Been to the dealer and they will not re-programme unit they have not fitted. Their quote is between 2000 - 2500 euros. So am thinking at that price it might be better to drive to UK, once I'm allowed, and get it sorted there. The prices I have seen online look so much cheaper. Can anyone advise me if I will have the same problem with cost and dealer re-programming in UK. Would really appreciate advice.
