you made it cristal clear elaxandru about 1.4 mpi that last for long ,in the mean time i guess I don't have to replace it with 1.4 16v and u r right about the power that 1.4 mpi gives it's really unique among all cars on the road

i have skoda fabia sedan 2003 1.4 mpi actually it's just fine and no issues so far ,the car done 215000 km with service on time. am asking if i should change motor to 1.4 16v as so many people adviced me to
