Intercooler hose split
Alright guys, So for a while now I've been certain there was a boost leak on my VRS and sure enough, found the cause to be a split intercooler hose (under the car on the passenger side). Does any know where I can get a replacement from or know the part number? Thanks in advance, Rob

They changed the spark plugs about a month ago during a major service 🤔

Car won't drive or rev past 2000 rmp
They changed the N80 intake valve in May! Which I'm sure is all part of the same system isn't it? That's my concern

Car won't drive or rev past 2000 rmp
Just had a call from the dealership. Been told its the charcoal canister which is causing the car to misfire. Been told it will be £260 to have this changed. Before I commit to anything, have any of you guys experienced or know of misfires being caused by a knackered charcoal canister? Thanks in advance

Yeah I had them changed last month by the dealer. I've called them and they have agreed to have a look over it tomorrow at no charge. Fingers crossed 😏

Car won't drive or rev past 2000 rmp
So finally got my car back. Was a whole new mechatronic system replacement which ended up costing £1200! Driving it the other day and now the bloody car is misfiring! I literally can't believe how many issues I've had with this car in the 2 months I've owned it. Fault codes are as follows: P0300 PO301C P0304 I'm praying to God that this is just a coil pack issue and nothing more serious. If so, does anyone have any recommendations for coil packs as I am reluctant to get skoda to replace them.

Car won't drive or rev past 2000 rmp
Thanks for letting me know but unfortunately I don't have any expertise. I spoke to a gear box specialist who have told me it's going to need the entire mechatronic system replaced, which will cost me £1080. That's not including the £240 it's going to cost me to get it towed to them. Skoda wanted £2000 to replace the mechatronic. Do you know what the fix is? Thanks for getting in touch

UPDATE WITH FAULT CODES. Had diagnostics on it this evening and has the following codes logged: * P17BF * P0841 * P189C Been told that these suggest it is the mechatronic system which has failed. 😭😭

Car won't drive or rev past 2000 rmp
Just come off the phone to skoda. Explained the symptoms and their tech believes the mechatronic unit has failed and will need to be replaced. Quoted £2000!!! Only owned the car for three months 😏

Car won't drive or rev past 2000 rmp
It had a service around 2 weeks ago at the main dealer. They changed the spark plugs etc during the service. Other than that, the car has been looked after. No modifications etc

Car won't drive or rev past 2000 rmp
I don't recall hearing anything. Is there any common places I should be looking? Also would this cause the revs to be only be restricted when in drive as it revs without any issues when in neutral. Thanks for the reply

Car won't drive or rev past 2000 rmp
Wondering if anyone would help me. Today I was driving to work when all of a sudden the car lost all power and wouldn't rev past 2000 revs. Managed to pull over on the hard shoulder but the car won't drive. I've put the car in drive but it won't go anywhere or rev past 2000. When in neutral it will rev freely, but when it's in gear it won't allow the car to rev up. Does anyone have any idea what might be the cause for this? No engine management lights on either? The car is a 2011 fabia VRS Thanks Rob

Fabia Vrs remap
Is there any way of telling? The only receipt I have with regards to any of that is a Dsg gearbox. Nothing with the paperwork with regards to replacement engine. It's done 58,000 miles and since having it (4 weeks) I've not had any issues with oil etc. I asked the previous owner if he had remapped it, he said it hadn't.

Thanks for the advice. Just concerned after reading so much about these engines (Cave) and wondered whether anyone had remapped one without issues.

Looking into remapping my 2011 fabia vrs. Have found a dealer who uses Celtic Tuning software, has anyone got any experience of using them? Power gains quoted to be 200bhp after map. Thanks Rob

DTC P0441 engine management code
So just an update. Just been scanned through by Skoda and after some investigations they have found that it is a faulty N80 valve. Fingers crossed this should sort the problem 🤞.

That would be great, I'll keep you updated if it persists. No i haven't checked any fuses.

Or if anyone lives near Mildenhall Suffolk and willing to meet up to have a little look for me?

DTC P0441 engine management code
Thanks again for the advice guys, sorry its caused things to get a little heated. The garage quoted me £150 for the leads, plugs and coil pack (all in) Having read through your replies, I don't think I'll follow this work up with the local garage and perhaps ask skoda when it's in on Friday. Would that be my best bet?

DTC P0441 engine management code
So do you think the local garage is trying to pull a fast one? The cars going in to skoda on Friday for a free health check. Is it worth me having a chat with them whilst it's there? Just concerned they will charge me through the roof for a diagnostic check

Thanks for the advice. Spoke to the previous owner who tells me the spark plugs were only changed 6 months ago

DTC P0441 engine management code
Hi guys, First Post on here and recently brought myself a 2011 fabia Vrs (privately) on 57,000 miles . I've owned the car for 5 days and whilst driving home last night a had an engine management light appear! Stuck a OBD scanner in and came up with DTC P0441. Been to the local garage who used their scanner and they have told me there is a misfire. They have advised to change coil pack, leads and spark plugs as the best place to start. I haven't noticed any change in the driveability of the car, the only thing I've noticed is it's very thirsty but I'm not sure if this is common for them. Guess I'm looking for advice from the guys that know these cars better than anyone and whether I should do as the local garage have suggested? Thanks Rob
