Similar story here... not sure about the build date(i didn`t ask) but somewhere in the begining of the march. I got the same info from the importer about the 3 month period. They said that the car must be finished in 3 months` time after getting VIN number in the system! We will see on your example if the story is true

Yup, they just keep pushing the date 🙃 I called mine after almost a month, he said that nothing changed. Car is missing part/s (he is assuming door panels). Date i had was week 15(this week), now without any dates. He has no info when i can expect the car... stupid situation cause i need that car to arrive before June In 4 days it will be 1 year from ordering 😅

Mine is still in production 😁 I am hoping to get it in the next few months 😊 And it just plane simple Octavia 2.0 diesel with few extras...

Yes, once in a country it takes very small amount of time to get it at the dealer. I said 2 weeks max(1 person i know waited 12 days and even that because of some stupid error). Usually it is few days because Slovenia is a small country, and everything is so close. I am not really sure how long does it take to get to Slovenia, but can`t be more than a week or two. UK is of course a different story, i believe that you get different dates there

@roottoot the country is written right under my badge :), and the guy is working for the main importer in the country(for quite some amount of time). I completley agree on that. A lot their workers(dealership ones) are just repeating things that they heard from others or been told to say. @Ajdolinwe are in the same situation. Hope we get some positive news soon 😊

Yes, i remember them saying that they can have up to 50k cars parked somewhere...but that was last year. He said exactly this: When the car is in production and gets the VIN number it has to be finished in 3months top due to some rule they have at Škoda. I don't know if this is the new thing but i don't know why would he lie. I wasn't even asking him for my car or anything about my order 😁 Otherwise the delivery here takes only a few days, cause we are not far from the factory(and the dealer can get the car in a few minutes /hours when it reaches country) . Registration is done at the dealer, in a few minutes. I never meet a person that waited longer than a 2 weeks(mostly few days) to get their car once in a country 😊

That might be a good sign 🙂👍 I honestly believe that we will get the cars soon(at least people whose cars are already in production). This guy who told me that they have 3months to deliver after unfinished production works for importer so i believe him 🙂

Btw just got an info from other dealer... He says that if the car enters production, and gets the status "unfinished" it has 3 months top to finish it and deliver. They can't have car more than 3months in "production" aka parked somewhere. So this dude claiming that his car is in production after just 3months, and his dealer saying it will be delivered in 3months max is absolutely right 👍

I think he may get it even before that 3month period. Cause why not? After all, this is Škoda we are talking about 🙂 Meanwhile after 11 months+ i am stuck on the status "in pruduction" 😅😁 Yesterday i was at the dealer, they even called the importer to check wtf is happening. Info is: Car is in production (meaning that it may been finished, or waiting transport) If the status change to "unfinished" then it means it is waiting for parts outside of production line. And when they get status "in transit" they receive mail and call the customer.

I called the dealer today... He said that he got "confirmed pruduction" status and delivery week 15. I asked him what does that mean, and if the car is already done but he had no answer?!? He just said that it's probably done, and it's just waiting for the ride to Slovenia. And yeah I still don't believe them 🙃.

Last month i asked the dealer what is with the price of the car and the financing and he told me that everything stays unchanged. The deal we signed is still the same, and nothing can change. So i doubt they can change price as they whish?!?

That is probably unconfirmed build date. A month ago i had it at week 19. Few days back i got status in production, but still no info if the car is completed or in delivery... So i guess that uncofirmed build date means nothing in this weird situation. Status in production is a bit better but still same sh!t, cause something is obviusly missing! They are still building cars, but they are probably just putting them asside and waiting for parts. That can last weeks or even months... Must be something related to that factory that was building door panels?!? Cause how can you build cars without that? I doubt they have more than 1 factory building door panels just for Octavia?

Quick update to my order. Called yesterday (today is 11 months from order), apparently car is "in production". They told me that they will contact main importer to get more accurate news if the "in production" status stays until next week. Apparently they have less infos than main importer! Their opinion was that some part is probably missing but that it should be completed soon (few days). If it does it should be in Slovenia in approx. 14-30 days! Honestly i don`t believe anything they say, so i am waitting for next week to either get some proof or new BS news

I contacted the dealer today first time after talking with them in december. Back then he told me that the car should be done and delivered to them in the end of JAN / start of FEB. Of course he never contacted me after that, so i called to see what he has to say... His co-worker answered because he is sick(covid i think), and told me that Škoda changed the date and they never got the car 😅. He then looked at the dates and the new provisional date is week 19 2022(MAY)! So yeah, i am waiting from APRIL 2021 and they still have no clue when will i get the car?!? If they continue with managing things like this i might get the car by the end of the year, or not get it at all since they can do that too?!? 🧐😅

Honestly the way Škoda is handling this situation is properly insulting quite a lot of their customers. Many of them will probably delete Škoda from their shopping lists and never order anything from them again! As @Ralliskarasaid, we understad the reasons that can cause delays, but there is 0 logic in not putting priorities to people that are waitting 9 months - 1 year+.

I dont believe its country/region based problem cause i saw quite a few cars that came to Slo(all with petrol engines). I also think that they didnt want to build diesel engines last year(reason could be co2 numbers ?!?), but they will have to start soon if they want customers to keep their orders 🙃
