Thanks for the reply, will check and change the filter too if needed. It probably needs a change as the air was a bit stinky on a rainy day.

I checked the vents and all of them were fully open. I also tried recreating the noise today on a warm engine after driving ~10km and failed to do so even by turning the AC setting to Lo and blow to maximum. Seems to be heavily tied to either cold engine or hot cabin. It doesn't seem to be connected to recirculation either since turning it on or off when noise was active did nothing. I'll probably have to get it checked and hope they can find the culprit. Just has to be a hot day so I can reproduce the fault on demand.

All dash vents are opened and blowing air, I will recheck but they should all be fully opened too. The weird thing is the air coming out of the vents decreases when the noise begins: It was blowing on maximum just prior to me taking the video.

Hi. I bought a 2013 Octavia RS a couple of weeks ago and now with the recent heat spikes it has developed rather annoying AC noise when starting the journey with a hot cabin (car parked in the sun). I tried searching the forums for similar occurances of AC noise, found some examples but I think they were describing different kind of noise. The noise I'm describing is modulated by the movement of the car instead of engine rpm: for example if i drive to a bumb on the road the noise may disappear for a second and same with hard deceleration. Noise is somehow related to the fan speed: Increasing it manually makes the noise louder. The AC blows cold while the noise is active but I noticed that the air moving out of the vents is decreased. When driving on bumps the amount of air increases if the noise is paused. The noise is coming from the right side of the dash and if I turn the passenger side AC to higher temperature (effectively turning cooling off) the noise disappears. After the cabin has cooled down the noise disappears completely. The noise itself sounds like a bearing going bad, has anyone had similar problems? Thanks in advance. The dealer did not mention any of this so I could be able to get them to pay for repairs. Here is a link which explains more than what I can do with words:
