  1. Not a bad shout. I had a look and the only comments I would make to that is. There are lights on both side and this only occured on the drivers side. The lights only work when the boot is open, and I only had the boot open for a short period that day. I did charge the car overnight so I wonder if it had anything to do with that?
  2. No loudspeaker, and it was only on the one side. Otherwise I'm not sure what is there. I was hoping somebody on here would know.
  3. It's a 2021 model. I think the marks on the window you refer to are caused by the suckers they use to hold it when they are putting it in place.
  4. Hi. It was below freezing when I was out yesterday and stopped at the shop and saw this melted circle on the rear pillar of my Superb iV. I'm curious to understand what caused it. Anybody any ideas? Thanks.
  5. Good points. I'll check it in the service history. Thanks.
  6. Hi. I'll be retiring soon and I'm considering buying my company Skoda Superb iv hatchback. It was registered in March 21 and has been regularly serviced and had done 82,000 miles. The buy price from the lease company is £10,800 which is a few £K below buying one through the trade, and I know it's not been driven hard. I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. I'll be 67 and so will probably just buy it to run as long as I can. Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi. I've discovered I've lost a chrome trim from my 2021 Skoda Superb iV hatch. Does anyone know what it's called and where I can get a replacement? Thanks in advance.
  8. I was told by the Service Deparment in Parks of Hamilton they actually don't have the equipment to do this type of work.
  9. I agree totally and have written a letter to them saying this very thing. If a dealership sells these cars, they should also have the equipment to service and repair them. I bet they will say that it is up to the dealer to make the servicing arrangements. It's not helped by the fact that there are three Skoda dealerships in the Glasgow area, and my lease company only deals with one of them. But I've contacted our fleet management people to give them a kick as waiting 3 weeks is a joke. And my company has to pay for the hire car till this happens, which the fleet comany are also not happy about.
  10. Parks is not my favourite. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
  11. @Rooted it's a company car so a lot of it is out of my hands. All I can do is apply pressure to the company who manage our fleet.
  12. This appears to be the problem. I had a VW AA call out on the car as it is a company car and the engineer said both the petrol and electric cooling systems are leaking. The big issue apparently is with the high voltage system. He advised I mustn't drive the car until it is fixed. Parks of Hamilton do not have the necessary technology to do the work, and the lease company don't actually have an agreement with the other Skoda dealers in Glasgow. I've been given a date of 24th of April as the earliest it can be done and that is it at Ingram's in Ayr. I've now kicked up a stink with the fleet management company about this.
  13. I've just had this error message come up on my 2021 Skoda Superb iV. It is a company car and I am trying to get it sorted but apparently my local Skoda dealer (Parks of Hamilton) say they are not able to fix it! Has anyone else encountered this issue? And do they know what causes it? Thanks in advance.
  14. Interestingly enough, I spoke to the AA (first port of call for any issues with our lease company), and the Škoda dealer, and they both said that these software issues are a major problem throughout VAG and that they've had quite a lot of calls about them. Not very reassuring.
  15. Nope, not seen either of those. It may be that was sent to the lease company. I got my car in May 2021. This was only booked in with a Škoda dealer once I had the issue with the software. Last time it was in at a Škoda dealer before this was October last year. EDIT: Just checked on the Škoda website and there are no active recalls for my vehicle.
