  1. Made a log from today's drive. Temperature sensor 1 seems a bit erratic, but the trend follows the others, so probably functional. Differential pressure in DPF can go quite higher than in my original post (that was in idle), but I don't know if the values are very high or normal? And the soot mass evolution
  2. Hello! My Mk2 from 2012 (CFFB motor) has failed MOT due to very high particle emissions (like 10x the legal max :) ) and I'm trying to make sure it's really the particle filter before I spend money on a new one. The car has 271000 km (167k miles). Here is some values read with VCDS: IDE00427 Particle filter: difference pressure 2 hPa IDE00432 Particle filter: time since last regeneration 12211 s IDE00433 Particle filter: oil ash volume 0.14 l IDE00434 Particle filter: soot mass calculated 16.56 g IDE00435 Particle filter: soot mass measured -2.97 g IDE00436 Particle filter: kilometers since last regeneration 170821 m IDE01407 Particle filter: fuel consumption since last regeneration 8.11 l No error codes. Yesterday, after I drove from work (70km) with higher revs, the regeneration happened and the calculated soot dropped to 8g, measured dropped to -10g (why is it negative??!). It's the high ash volume that's worrying me. But then, the pressure difference is very low... I saw a bit of white smoke from exhaust some months ago, but is was intermittent and gone for now. What do you reckon, is it clogged and I should change it? Would the cleaning in place with some "wonder" liquids help? More than a year ago I had a period of a very rough driving at around 1500 rpm, car shaking and all. A couple of workshops couldn't sort it out, but after some time it went away and since it's working ok. I did some research at the time and everything was pointing at EGR issues. Could EGR be the reason for high emissions? From what I saw in the service manual, it doesn't divert any exhaust around the filter, so shouldn't be. Could an EGR issue have further increased the DPF clogging? And last question, if I end up changing the DPF, could I do it without removing the front wheel subframe, as I saw in some youtube videos? Thank you in advance for any hints! Cheers, Olex
