Fabia Mk1 - Not starting intermittently
I just had it out the garage for the third time, they hope they have fixed it. This time they found 2 error codes - 16706 - Engine speed sensor input circuit no signal - intermittent 01176 - Key faulty signal too low - intermittent They have replaced the engine speed sensor and touch wood this has fixed it. Cost £75 (for the sensor replacement and installation)

Fabia Mk1 - Not starting intermittently
Unfortuantely not, the garage just said it indicated a fault with the fuel tank air pressure valve and then traced this to a cracked pipe that lead to the valve. They didn't tell me what the fault code was. The engine quite often starts and then immediately stops, and then takes a second start to get going. I have it booked into a garage tomorrow so hopefully they can trace what it is....

It's the 1.4 MPI petrol engine. Car is white if that helps!

Fabia Mk1 - Not starting intermittently
My 2001 Fabia has recently developed an intermittent fault where is won't start, although it does usually get going after a few attempts. The fault is getting worse (as most faults do!). I took it to my regular garage to investigate and fix. They found an engine error code for the air inlet valve to the fuel tank (that keeps the tank pressurised). They found that this was caused by a cracked pipe leading to the valve, they replaced this and reset the engine error code and said it was fixed. Cost £90 in total. I've had the problem re-occur a couple of times so will have to take it back. In essence, the car tries to start, the starter motor spins but it doesn't seem to 'catch' and the engine doesn't start. As this is intermittent, if it doesn't happen at the garage they say they can't diagnose it. Does anyone have any clues what the issue might be? Starter motor? Spark plugs? Anything else? I've taken a couple of videos....

Aerial has stopped working?
Thanks for all the tips. I've tried replacing the aerial mast and the booster, and checked all the connections but no joy. I've purchased a new aerial with leads for analogue and DAB (so I can upgrade to a DAB radio at a later date) and found a local garage that is happy to install the new unit and run the cables. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LFHUWLY/ I'm hoping that I can power the new aerial using the blue power cable in the radio compartment..

Aerial has stopped working?
I'm having some problems with radio reception in my Fabia Mk1. I have an aftermarket Sony radio (just FM, not DAB) that I installed about 18 months ago that was working fine. When I installed it I purchased one of the connector kits from eBay that sorts all of the cable connections and had a signal booster that plugs between the aerial cable and the radio. It was all working fine until about 2 weeks ago when I came out a shop and found that I could not pick anything up on the radio apart from Radio 3 and one local station. I've checked all of the connections, and replaced the antenna and signal booster with new units from Amazon, but the problem hasn't resolved. I can only think that the aerial cable has gone faulty somehow or for some reason. Is there anything else that might be worth checking? I don't really like pulling the trim off as I can never get it back on, so not looking forward to attempting to run a new cable or install a new aerial\antenna. My local garage roll their eyes every time I rock up with my 20 year old Fabia (even though there's absolutely nothing wrong with it) and I'm not sure they would carry out things such as replacing the aerial cable or installing a new DAB aerial.
