  1. As the title says the MAF threw a code whilst on the motorway and at the same time the turbo fails to boost over 60-75 mph. Yet from what I’ve heard the MAF will always show the code when it’s on its way out. Just want some opinions and ideas of this. Like my previous post it overboosts normally, over injects fuel when demanded yet not when the turbo refused to boost (not got that sorted out yet). MAF reading at idle is 8-12 g/s and 124.9 at full throttle in 3rd, boost pressure is 23 PSI. Not checked for any leaking boost pipes but not a problem at air filter to MAF. I would like to see what people think about this. Thanks
  2. Also 0-60 is roughly about 1.2 secs slower than a normal one.
  3. Hi, I’ve had my VRS for over 3 years now and I’m only just wondering if it’s got a bad map in the car. There’s been 7 owners and the turbo blew up into 22 pieces (don’t have a pic sadly) since it’s been in my parents possession. Basically upon turbo lag the car seems to inject more fuel then lots of smoke appears. I know it’s normal for this car to smoke and it lets a lot smoke out on setting off depending on how aggressively you press the accelerator. I’ve browsed around and haven’t seen anything about smoke on turbo lag so I was wondering if it’s a bad map since it’s had 6 previous owners. Im in the mindset that it’s a stock PD130 although the old turbo that blew up could say otherwise. Sadly that was 2 years ago and I recon that a stock turbo was the replacement of the one that blew.
  4. Also the pressure doesn’t hold, it changes quickly. I’m not sure if this is due to the app to obd refreshing or a problem with the car.
  5. Hi, I was checking for boost leaks recently and using a cheap obd2 to WiFi and the Torque app I was able to see how much boost pressure was obtained at full throttle. (or so I hope) I would like to compare it with some people if possible. Although I’ve searched online and found the remap results more nearer to my results than stock 22.285 PSI is the amount I reached at around 3500-4000 rpm in 3rd. Had a new ‘stock’ turbo put on due to old one exploding due to poor maintenance by previous owner.
