Thank Gav, yeah I'm aware it's heavily based on the Golf. I'm really trying to ascertain whether a comprehensive manual, specific to an '08 1.6 petrol Octy, exists. Would have assumed there would be a Haynes, but seems not. Anyone else with a suggestion? Is there a pdf somewhere that applies?

Greetings to all. New here, though have been lurking for a few weeks. Have already read and learned quite a bit which has helped no end with my decision to become a Skoda owner after 20 years of Volvo estates - so thanks for that. Just bought a lovely low milage 08 Octavia 1.6FSI and have been trying to track down a Haynes worksop manual for it with no joy. Even the Haynes website is no help - all I can find is 04-12 deisel, or 98-04 petrol. Does anyone know if one even exists for my car?
