How do I find the error log ?

A few weeks ago my small informant screen got stuck on the compass and I can't get any other information eg average speed, fuel consumtion ect and now the door lock button in the center console has stopped working but the fob still works. Has anyone else had this problem and if so did they find a solution. TIA.
