  1. I wish it was on the Elegance, my life would be easier! Thanks eyegr, I'll get digging...
  2. Hey troops. Bought the wife a 64 plate 1.4tsi DSG Spaceback at the weekend in white. Cracking wee motor. Only thing is, she's missing the heated seats from her old car already (bad back already, and now she's pregnant), is there a way I can retrofit these? I don't mean the cheapo crappy seat cover that plug into the 12v socket. I would want them OEM (I've doe plenty of this kinda stuff before on my Octy, windscreen wash sensor, factory bluetooth/Nav etc...) and have VCDS. I've seen photo's of the switch gear which shows the heated seat signs, but not in the UK, so I presume it was never an option here. I believe I'd need the switch assembly, seat elements wiring from the switch to body control unit and from there to seats. As for which ones though, I'm utterly lost! Anyone been down this road..?
  3. I'm in Penicuik, happy to do fairly basic stuff...
  4. I'm in Houstoun too, Wyman Gordon up by Screwfix.
  5. I'm in Penicuik, drive to work in Livingston every week day, so like some, spend an eternity on the city bypass... Race Blue vRS FL
  6. We got a 2013 1.2 TSI Ibiza for my wife to run about in. Its the 115hp 4cyl, only SEAT seem to use it. Good wee motor.
  7. My '12 CR VRS has 272mm rears. I could only find them listed for the golf.
  8. Yep, allows air con/heater air flow in the jumbo box. I was trying to convince my wife it was a torture instrument for every time she couldn't read a map.... the trouble is, I don't think she has enough fingers...
  9. I think they are dealer fitted Skoda ones, they look same as other ones I've seen on Octy's.
  10. Eddie, can you help on my quey above at all, post #9. Thanks.
  11. Sorry for daft Q, I have rear parking sensor, just bleeps, looks like dealer fitted, if I fit this Ops mudule, what else is needed for it to show on the Bolero (12 plate FL vRS). cheers
  12. I have a couple of items for sale as they we're ordered for my cars service, but turned out to be incorrect, as the mechanic got his greasy paws on the boxes, the seller won't take them back. Genuine VAG parts in geniune boxes (with aforementioned oily finger prints). Air Filter 1K0 629 620 - I believe is for the 6 cylinder V6 petrol engines (Superb V6, Passat R36, Golf R32, Audi 3.2). £12 posted Fuel Filter 1K0 127 434 A - is a TDI filter, just depends which filter housing you have. £13 posted Prices as above, UK Postage only. Cheers, Kev.
  13. I put Mintex on the Octy. Perform well, but by god did the centres rust quick.
  14. Yeah, I just came on to see if anyone had posted it yet...
  15. My CR vRS is down about 8 or 9mpg on what it gets during the summer, thats a mix of stop start (Edin City Bypass) and Motorway. I assumed winter was killing it, cold engines only just gets to 90deg oil temp as I get to work, and heated seats on all the time!
  16. As above, I've had two cheapo ones, we're terrible, wouldn't connect, limited function etc.... Bit the bullet and bought a genuine Rosstech cable, its soooo much better, wish I had done from the start (on my 3rd VAG car in a row and wife has a 2012 Ibiza so justifies the cost, in my head anyway).

I'm in Penicuik. What's needing done?
  18. I've got VCDS (official Rosstech). PM me, I'm off work for the next few days so free whenever this week.
  19. Excellent. I'll bet Skoda UK made a killing when you post a new mod/guide! What triggers the washers to function and does the pump run in addition to the std front/rear washer pump thats fitted?
  20. Yep, cluster out, get a steel rule or similar to release the top clips, it's easy one you figure it out. I ran the wires into cabin via the rubber seal for the bonnet release catch, released OS scuttle to get into it. Coding is nice and easy and why this doesnt come on all Octy's as standard quite frankly amazes me. Costs and all that...
  21. Did mine today using this guide, great mod, although you must have womens hand eddie, trying to cut/fit the sensor into the reservior was a giggle!
  22. Got this bar for sale as the wife uses the car most of the time and doesn't need this. It was on the car for a month, helps tighten the back end nicely (oooeerrr!!!) There's a few marks from fitting and generally being moved around the garage for a few weeks. Bushes all in excellent nick, good bolts and nuts. Fits all A5 Octavia's (Mk2 & FL), Golf Mk5/6,Leon etc... £100 delivered. Cheers
  23. I scanned PCDee's car tonight, and we got this on initial scan... Address 08: Auto HVAC Labels: 1K0-907-044.lbl Part No: 1Z0 907 044 H Component: ClimatronicPQ35 084 0305 Shop #: WSC 00000 000 00000 VCID: 3B7513D67A7055C68EF-806E 1 Fault Found: 01273 - Fresh Air Blower (V2) 010 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent I cleared the fault, re-scanned and nothing came up. I'm assuming it'll come back when heating is asked for during normal driving cycle, plan to re-scan in a couple of weeks if not fixed before then. Would this code suggest there's a fault with the blower motor circuitry?
