  1. The car is not in warranty. With lifting the car at my local mechanic I've pinpointed the noise source to steering rack, it seems a mechanical problem. The noise when turning the wheel is similar to the one in this video. A new original steering rack is 2400€ without the manhours. First I'll try to grease the rack but this probably won't fix it. I've contacted a workshop which specializes in steering rack repair, still waiting for an answer.
  2. Hello, I have a problem with the steering system in a Škoda Superb 1.6 TDI year 2018. When turning the steering wheel, a noise has been heard for some time, which has now become louder. There are no problems with turning the steering wheel on the spot, but somewhere above 70 km/h a kind of resistance is felt without the active lane assist on, similar to when the car wants to drive between the lines in the lane with the active lane assist on. The dashboard does not report errors. Active lane assist still works on the highways. Anyone had a similar issue? Greetings,
  3. It only happens if I brake (or accelerate) hard enough. It is more frequent when driving up or down a hill when the car is under higher loads.
  4. Hello! My 2018 1.6 diesel Superb Estate makes a noise when accelerating or braking aggresively. When the noise is heard during acceleration it has to be "reset" with braking to be able to repeat it. In other words if I accelerate twice without braking hard the noise is heard only the first time. This does not happen during my normal driving. I've made a video of the issue, the noise comes form the front passenger wheel. Any idea what could be causing this? I have taken the car to an official Skoda workshop where they recommended replacing the front ball joint, but honestly I doubt this is the issue. Regards
