Hi all. I have an issue with my passenger door electrics on my 2011 Skoda Octavia estate. Firstly they stopped working, locking, windows and electric mirror. Initially they stopped when the door was unlocked. Then they stopped when locked and nothing would unlock the door. We tried WD40 and banging by the latch, eventually had to cut out a bit of door frame flange and tap the catch until it released. Obviously the door card was removed and the window to try to find a way to undo the catch. The rear doors open from the inside when locked on the second application of the internal door release. This did not happen on the passenger door.
The door open picture on the dash works for all doors, except the passenger door.
I have inspected all the wiring to look for breaks in the door and concertina section, which is apparently a common fault. Nothing is obvious. Continuity of wires from door to sockets to appear good, although the colouring of the wires and their routes make it difficult for me to establish which wires go where and do what. I have inspected the wiring and sockets on drivers door also.
I have read that there could be a problem with the door locking control which could create these issues. Is this true and would I have to remove the drivers door window, again , to check this.
If anyone out there has had similar issues and managed to fix them I would be extremely grateful.
