We purchased a Skoda Kodiaq 1.5TSI manual SE Drive in June of this year, new on a 21 palate. Our first Skoda and initially we love it. However 5 months in and the shine is wearing off which is disappointing. Like some that I’ve read the infotainment system can be unpredictable and on more than one occasion the reverse camera fails to display. The Sat Nav is also slow and inaccurate. Having covered around 6,000 miles we are averaging 41.2mpg which I think is very good for the size of car and engine. We do have some trim rattles from the drivers door pad and rear boot area. However, the last 500 miles the cars developed a noticeable rotational/audible noise from the engine bay, apparent at low speed when driving, especially pulling away changing from 1st into second and up to 30mph. It’s also very noticeable when stationary and worryingly goes away when you dip the clutch. Now it drives ok, no clutch judder or difficulty changing gear. The rotational noise is so apparent on idle now that it concerns us to use, but as I said it disappears when I press the clutch down. It’s booked in for early November, so I’ll keep you posted. It’s been suggested it’s a hydraulic clutch bearing?? Or something internal in the gearbox? Not impressed at such low mileage and being only 5 months old. If anyone else has experienced something similar on their Kodiaq, I’d be interested to hear. I’ll post again, thanks J
