Skoda octavia II Climatronic issue
matt3698VRS replied to matt3698VRS's topic in General Automotive Chat
Hi George, I had a full service done as well at the same time. The chap that filled it is also the specialist. He didn't charge me for the re-gas. I didn't have time for him to diagnose as well. Getting booked in ASAP Anybody know what the 333 and 0.9h represent that are displayed Cheers -
Skoda octavia II Climatronic issue
matt3698VRS replied to matt3698VRS's topic in General Automotive Chat
Cheers Denis, There are a few that don't live to far away. I'll make some enq's. Looks like my mate is going to get my car into a local air con specialist. See what he can diagnose. Fingers crossed it won't be an expensive fix....... -
Afternoon all, Currently driving a race blue 2006 skoda octavia vrs. I'm having issues with my climatronic setting. It seems to be blowing warm air even when set on 'lo" I've had the system re gassed and tested. It's showing no leaks and charged with 00.525kg I've done the climatronic reset by pressing the econ and fan into chest button. It makes a few clicking noises and the fans reset. When I press the econ and recirculate button it shows 333 and 09.h I've been advised that the compressor etc is fine and the fans are working correctly. Any help / advice or free fixing would be greatly appreciated. The wife is also giving me grief as the car is to hot for her. Many thanks Matt

Just in case anyone is interested I have a lovely set of original Skoda Octavia VRS 17" Zenith alloys for sale. They come with barely used Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. They are 225/45/17 They also come with spare wheel centre stickers and original wheel nut covers. They are currently on EBay. Thanks

I have recently come across a fault on my '05' plate Octavia VRS. It appears that my key fob is only opening all the doors apart from the drivers door. I have to put the key into the drivers door lock to open / close it. I contacted my local dealership and was advised it would require a new motor at £230 ( parts + labour ). Has anyone got any credit crunching ideas. Many thanks

Hi all, Bought my VRS a year ago. What a car. Really pleased with everything. I find that on frosty mornings my collant level light comes on and it beeps 3 times. I've checked the level and its spot on. I spoke to a Tech at Skoda who told me this does happen because the sensor freezes. If your car is under warranty then get it booked in for a new header tank. Also my ECU light has come on ( orange light on dash that looks like an engine side on ). Been advised to get it booked in, which i have. Can anyone tell me if it's okay to keep driving. The Tech said it was but slightly uncomfortable with this. Finally i have bougt some VRS stickers off E Bay. I've stuck them on the front doors just above the black trim at the hinge end. Well worth a couple of quid....look really smart

Bonnet struts for Octavia VRS
matt3698VRS replied to matt3698VRS's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
Beretta, Are they worth purchasing. The price is reasonable for what they are. Just wondering if its more grief than it's worth. -
I was browsing on the internet at a very popular auctioning website and came across some hydraulic gas powered bonnet openers. They are similar to the ones on a Fiat Coupe. It says one flick of the catch and the bonnet will open smoothly. Just wondering if anyone else has attached these to their car. eBay.co.uk: SKODA OCTAVIA 1U BONNET HOOD LIFTER GAS STRUTS DAMPERS (item 180131456997 end time 24-Jun-07 19:10:00 BST) Cheers Matt
