Just returned my lease 1.0tsi First Edition, 99% perfect with only very occasional SOS popping and no infotainment issues after a few updates. Was that impressed, I've bought a low mileage mk3 vRS 🙂

I'm going to opposite way, tried my mk4 hatch roof bars onto my new to me mk3 yesterday. They will not fit, the MK3 is just a little bit narrower.

No, sorry. The rattle still happens very occasionally but usually only when its cold. The dealer said at the time they wouldn't like to say if any investigation work would be covered under warranty so I didn't take it any further. Dare I say it; the car has been great for several months now!

My mate had one of the first BMW Mini's in the early 2000's; full of problems. I've always said I wouldn't go for a brand new model so what do I do, go and get a brand new model. Lesson learnt! Only 18 months left on the lease so mine might be 100% by then for the next victim owner 😂

No, the rattle has quietened down. Car was booked in at the dealer next week for the rattle, profile loading screen taking 3 minutes and a check engine light triggered by a stop / start failure. All faults have mysteriously resolved on their own 🙄 I'll probably mention it next time the car goes in for a fault......and there will be a next time!

Mine did this a few weeks into ownership. Unlocked the car, alarm wouldn't stop sounding until I disconnected the battery! Reconnected after a couple of hours and has been fine since. Took it into Skoda the next day, no fault found.

Sounds exactly like mine! Regarding the back seat rattle, already fixed that on my car using a bit of electrical tape around the hook on the the seat.

Hi. Has anyone on here experienced a rattle / vibration from the drivers door? The noise shuts up if you press on the the gloss black trim near the door handle. Also happens if the door is open or closed and can by replicated by knocking on the same area. Before anyone asks, door pocket is empty 🙂 Also tried removing the umbrella. Not sure if I should attempt to take the door card off or let Skoda have a look with a possible labour charge for the work.

Update on my car..... Cruise control sorted this morning. Unlocked the car after it has been setting on the drive for a few hours and now the alarm will not stop sounding, only fix was to disconnect the battery and wait for the AA. It seems they cannot fix one thing and screw something else up. Not happy.

Thanks. Suspected it would need a trip to the dealer again so booked it in earlier. Hope they don’t screw up the infotainment again 🤞

Hi All. First post here after reading the forum for a few months since getting my Octavia SE First Edition. Great car but as it seems most people on here already know, its let down by software issues. Mine went into Skoda on Friday for another update. This seems to have fixed all the issues I was having but on Saturday I noticed I can no longer activate cruise control, its stuck on the speed limiter. I can see the option in the Assist systems menu, I'm just unable select it. Am I being thick? It was working prior to Friday and yes, the switch is on :-) Thanks!
