  1. It’s not easy to do, I had help and used a 17mm socket that we had to cut a slot into to get on the sensor, and one of us was holding the socket on the sensor while the other was on the ratchet. They say apply heat to the pipe around the sensor not directly into it.
  2. You will need to take it to garage or if you know anyone with a reader to clear the code or it stay in limp mode
  3. I hope it goes a lot better than what I have experienced. I didn’t think to film it, should of done but didn’t think of it at the time as too busy swearing at the thing 😆.
  4. What an absolute nightmare trying to change this sensor 🤬🤬🤬. Couldn’t get the thing undone. Had to see a mate at garage and the only way to get the sensor off was take the whole catalytic converter off. Found also the flexi pipe was blowing from the weld so replaced that. To get the sensor out, had to cut it off, re weld a nut onto it so could screw sensor into it. Not sure why they had to put the bloody thing in that place as there’s plenty of other easier places to put it.
  5. Do you have to take the under tray off or is it easy to get to with out taking it off?
  6. I looked up the part number and it comes up with an orange plug? The plug should be the brown one?
  7. Yeah came back on again. It’s weird as I’ve replaced the lambda sensor, it takes around 30 mins for the light to ping back up. I’m in the process of ordering one now and not looking forward to fitting it tho as looks fiddly to do.
  8. Number 15 is the one you need to replace. I’ve found out the hard way and already replaced 2 sensors 🤦🏻‍♂️. If you look between the turbo through the gap you can see it just about at the back middle and the connector is located in gap of the air box and engine, brown plug.
  9. That’s what I was thing of doing. But atm it’s seems to be fine so if it reoccurs then that’s what I be doing next 👍
  10. I’ve got a funny feeling the one that’s been causing the issue is buried down the back and I can even see where the plug is disconnect. I’ve got a feeling have to take off the belly pan and go from underneath as you can just about see it through the gap
  11. I went for a drive, plugged in diagnostic computer. Did a temp reading and the senosors was all reading fine. Nothing wasn’t showing out of the ordinary
  12. They don’t make it easy do they.
  13. This is the only diagram I came across. This one was saying that the bank 1 sensor 3 is (number 5). Obviously is the light comes back on again then that one will be getting replaced next
  14. I’ve been looking for diagrams and that to see where they are. But since I’ve replaced the lambda sensor it’s been fine. I had a look when I was changing the sensor, the other sensor which I thought it could be is further down the back of the engine. You can just about see it and looks difficult to change from the top side. So where the first sensor I replaced. Look down the gap and you can see another sensor further down. Maybe it could be that one
  15. As an update. I’ve replaced the lambda sensor as when I replaced the sensor before the turbo it was coming up with the p242a code still, since this I’ve had no more issues. Fingers crossed
