Polystyrene spare wheel insert - worth it?
There are a few 1.5 tonne similar looking jacks around £20 I’ve seen. I wondered if a better brace might be a win over OEM? I can bodge a bag or stick it in with towel but overall cost runs similar. https://www.screwfix.com/p/laser-telescopic-wheel-brace-500mm/13244?_requestid=131854

Polystyrene spare wheel insert - worth it?
Ordered a full size spare for the octavia estate. I like the look and neatness of the ŠKODA foam insert with tools and cost wise looks similar to buy a Jack, brace and tool bag. Just wondered what others thought of the insert and worth it over non OEM tools? Thanks!

Yeah I’m into my cycling and I’ve never seen a roof carrier that didn’t make me anxious!

Mk3 octavia estate petrol auto - anything to watch out for?
Pulled the trigger on this. They’re going to change brake fluid, spark plugs and MOT it. More mileage than was after but turned out it has a reversing camera plus super local with a 6 month warranty. Thanks for all the help! https://pdcars.co.uk/vehicle/name/skoda-octavia-se-tsi-dsg/#vehicle-details

Mk3 octavia estate petrol auto - anything to watch out for?
I’d had a look at this graphic on another thread you'd posted it on, super handy! It’s a 67 plate SE with 44k miles, petrol auto with reversing camera for £12k

Mk3 octavia estate petrol auto - anything to watch out for?
Found something that meets the criteria but 44,000 miles. Does this mean a major service at 50k on the horizon?

Mk3 octavia estate petrol auto - anything to watch out for?
Interesting! I’ve actually found a place locally to install a reversion camera. The length is a bit of an issue given how terrible parking on our street is…

Mk3 octavia estate petrol auto - anything to watch out for?
Thanks! We’re in Bristol so an imminent clean air zone and the general direction of travel away from diesel made the petrol front runner. 2.0 would be lovely! Should also say that my wife would prefer a karoq…higher equivalent cost, less space and general Id rather an estate have been my defences so far, rightly or wrongly!

Mk3 octavia estate petrol auto - anything to watch out for?
Forgot to say, looking at 1.4 as think 1.0 will be bit underpowered. Coming from a Mini Cooper and sprog on the horizon is main impetus for the change. Mostly be shopping/trips with urchin and long trips 150 -350 miles but not a commuter. ta

Mk3 octavia estate petrol auto - anything to watch out for?
Close to pulling the trigger on an octavia estate. Will be a petrol dsg and looking at SE/ SE L trim. Aiming for <30k miles and hoping to spend under £16k. Was tempted to get a mk4 before saw the horror stories on here. So now thinking 2017/18 mk3 but anything I should be looking out for in terms of issues? If I should be considering something else for my money let me know! Thanks
