  1. Hi All, I'll keep it brief, I did a standard service on the Octavia mk3 1.6TDI the other day, new oil, fuel and air filters. Once complete, I cleared the service light, then started it up. As to be expected since the fuel filter was replaced it took a few turnovers before she fired up. It immediately kicked up the engine management light for P0673 (cylinder 3 Glow plug circuit/open), I've since cleared and it hasn't appeared again. I'm presuming it was because it was a semi-dry start (after fuel filter change) and not that the glow plug is on the way out? Not feeling any cugs from the engine that would suggest otherwise. Anyone had the same thing happen? Alternatively, anyone know how the sensor determines an open circuit issue on the plugs, is it looking for combustion in each cylinder? Thanks all
  2. Ahhh now that makes sense. Does anyone know if there is a part of this forum dedicated to upgrading. I’d be interested to spec out the car as much as possible.
  3. Hi All, I'm new to the forum, I've just bought a MK3 Octavia estate 2019 "style" edition. I know this edition doesn't come with front assist, but I can't understand why there are clearly two optical sensors built into the rear view mirror base (pictured) if there is no assist, additionally the assist button is on the steering wheel, but it brings me nowhere when pressed. Anyone know what the deal is? Thanks, Alzer
