  1. Hello, I'm new. My Fabia 1.9tdi 2001 has a fault. The blower stops working when in use, stays off for roughly an hour, then starts working again. The weird part is that when it's not working, I can hear the motor "trying", but nothing comes out of the vents, as if it's being strangled. Losing aircon on a long drive on a hot day is awful. At last, recently, the fault occurred as I was passing the garage I take it to. With the blower "trying" but producing nothing, the main man had a fiddle whereby he pulled back the plastic cover which is by the front passenger's right foot, and just fumbled about a bit. Hey presto, the blower came to life. The problem has returned a couple of times since. Any ideas?
