Hi. My car was build week early in July. It was 99.9% built but just waiting for a chip. I know there’s a global shortage, but can’t get any info on if any chips are coming in or expected in, if they are being fitted while main production lines closed etc. I read there were about 32000 Skoda’s in a similar position at end June … but has that number gone up or down? I imagine a lot of chips could be fitted quickly if they do come in. As there seems to be very little information about what is happening (I would love a day by day graph!), I would really appreciate feedback on if others on this forum have been in a similar position, and if any have subsequently had their car completed. This might be handy for others on this forum in a similar position - for instance if we find 20 examples who were in same position, but 10 of those had the final chip fitted in late July or August, that would give all those waiting a better picture than I imagine anyone has at the moment.
