Audio upgrade in my Roomster
Hi. In my Roomy 3 2007/07 plate I have installed the pioneer DMH-A240BT headunit. It hasn't got the sat nav, but I thunk there is a pioneer headunit out there with sat nav. Hope this helps. From Sean.

Do I need to upgrade the Speedometer Gear?
Hello all. I am in two minds to upgrade my wheels on Roo. They are standard 205/45 16's.... I am thinking of going upto 17" The thing is after watching the wheeler dealers episode of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, where Ant upgraded the speedometer gear because he put bigger wheels on I was concerned that I needed to do something similar when I put bigger wheels on.... Some people say the speedometer thing is attached to the gearbox nowadays.... (more accurate reading or something) I don't want a false reading.... I don't want a speeding ticket etc.... Just want Roo to have a fresher look next year etc.... Thanks in advanced and may you all have a Happy & Merry Christmas & New Year From Sean.

Sidelights upgrade
Hi. I am in the process of upgrading my lights to LED etc. I have already done the headlight, but I am struggling with the sidelights.... Is it true that the front bumper needs to be removed to get access to the headlight to remove the headlight to get to the sidelight etc.... It could be me with fat fingers and hands 😂🤣😂 and very little space with the battery on one side etc Thanks again and all the best Sean.

Roomster - Bare Roof - Roofbox options?
Morning. The only way to have a roof box is to fit the roof rails I am afraid, there is no other way around it. I fitted the roof rails to my Roomy recently for one I like thenlook and two I want to add a roof cage - for that rat look etc. I eventually got some second hand roof rails and brought a brand new roof rail fitting kit template from skoda parts direct - they also sell brand new roof rails too. I did go to a local bodyshop to neaten upthe holes. Yes you have to drill into the car/roof - but it can be done. Everything is there under the roof - just got to drill to expose them 👍 Hope this helps. All the best Sean.

Roof Rails Eventually Fitted 😃
Hi J.R. yes you do get a bit more the sticky back plastic. The black tape is what my local bodyshop put on so I could drive home. I have attached the templates, which are hard plastic.. and the black bits are the locating parts so you can widen the holes upto correct size.

Roof Rails Eventually Fitted 😃
Oh I wish Lyminton.... my local dealer wanted nearly £500 to fit the rails.....

Roof Rails Eventually Fitted 😃
So, as many members know I've been wanting advice on how to fit the roof rails to my Roomy. I just thought to let them know that as of yesterday they are on 👍😃 I brought the template fitting kit from Skoda Parts Direct (£140) and it comes with the locating bungs. I brought some second hand roof rails.... (recycle ♻️ save land fill 😂😂) And I got a local bodyshop to widen the holes to the correct size And no, the headlining does not need to be removed (even skoda dealerships say it does) it doesn't, all done on the outside. I'm pleased, I'm happy I have my dream Roomster now... like it should of been when it left the factory back in 2007 🤣😂🤣 Just need a roof cage now 🤣😂🤣 Thanks to everyone for the advice - much appreciated 👍👊

Key Fob Not Unlocking Doors
Hiya all. My key fob won't open the doors.... not even the boot..... It will lock all doors.... When I have manually inserted the key to open the driver's door and you can hear the other doors unlocking.... but then you open the door/doors/boot the alarm goes off!! Is it a daft thing like changing the key fob battery? Or does it need a new battery? The strange thing was when I eventually got my back door to open with a replacement mechanism, and reconnected the battery - my window wouldn't open.... so I turned it off, flicked the key in the barrell 2-3 times, then started the car - and all working again.... and touch wood 🪵 still working. Thanks all in advance 👊👍 PS You gotta love Skoda's 😂🤣😂

NSR DOOR NOW OPENS!! 😃
Hiya all. So basically I've had my Roomy for a year now, and the rear door hasn't opened in all the time. Well eventually I've got it to open - thanks to a second hand mechanism. I kept phoning garages vw/skoda experts & general garages & even Skoda dealerships/garages and they all said the only way to change it is to smash the mechanism etc etc and your talking £100s cause it may take hours etc etc. Anyway, the way I did it (see pictures) was yes you have to smash the black plastic casing on the mechanism... but still nothing.... Then once that has been removed you are left with the metal part still screwed in the door and latched on etc.... What I found was when you pull on the latch to open it - the lever wasn't going further enough so I pulled/pressed the lever more and more and eventually the door opens... again see picture. Hope this helps and saves someone garage fees etc. Yes I have damaged some of the metal.... but it's covered by the door card.... All the best Sean.

Advice on NSR door - not opening
Hi NZ100. To be fair it feels like the OSR one, not loose and not tight - just right..... and when I pull it, the rods move and that red carch/latch moves but nothing seems to work after that....
-
Advice on NSR door - not opening
Hello all. I need some advice, because my rear door is jammed shut! Locking mechanism is fine - clicks on and off on the fob etc... but nothing will open it!! While playing aound with a mechanic camera tool I found there is a red catch/lever - but it only moves so much and nothing.... My other idea was to remove the door rubbers and see if I could get to catch that way... but I can't seem to be able to remove the rubbers.... is this possible if so what is the way/trick please. Thanks again Sean.

Front Electric Window Issues - Still
Hi gilroom. Thanks for your post. Who is Pete? 😂 I am happy taking the door card off, as that's what I did to do the loom etc, plus since taking the door card there was only 2 clips and the bottom screws holding it... so it must of been took off before. Please DM with Pete's details please... Thanks.
