  1. From what I saw the priming at start is not momentary providing the brake pedal is applied. Out of curiosity, does anyone know the PWM % when using the priming function of VCDS?
  2. I borrowed a Snap-On Modis Edge tool and looked at the live data on a 2018 Karoq 2.0 TDI CR 110 kW with 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and saw the following: Upon starting the engine the PWM jumped briefly from 0% to 20% and settled at an average of 15% @ 2.1 volts and 1.5 amps. When the brake pedal was released it dropped to 0%. Reapplying the brake reverted it back to 15%. Moving the gear into 'drive' with the brake pedal applied resulted in an average of 15% @ 2.1 volts and 1.5 amps.
  3. I had read that thread thanks but it did not seem to give a definitive answer on the subject. I have now downloaded the Karoq 'Maintenance' workshop manual and it states the following after the initial oil fill: – Lower the vehicle. – Start engine, engage a gear and allow gearbox to rotate for about 2 minutes. – Switch off engine and unscrew oil drain plug. – Check oil level, if necessary top up gear oil again to lower edge of filler hole. None of this gets mentioned in the Karoq 'Propshaft and Rear Final Drive' workshop manual procedure for replacing the Haldex oil But it does say the oil temperature must be between 20 °C and 40 °C when checking the oil level.
  4. Very useful, many thanks Arkaig
  5. I am looking to change the oil in a Gen 5 Haldex and I was wondering what the general consensus on priming the oil system was. Is just starting the engine and letting it idle for a minute (or X minutes) sufficient or is a more involved method required? Since I do not have VCDS would connecting up a PWM motor controller directly to the pump and running the pump that way suffice? Thanks
