Could these issues be related? Electronic window fail, blower broken, moisture on windshield
Managed to fix everything! The drivers window regulator panel was one hell of a b*. Couldn't find a M8 torx for taking out the doorlock in all of the 4 shops in my area, so I had to work around that. It's possible! Just quite tricky to get the old panel off and the new one on. Then I also didn't have the right size rivets, I only managed to get my hands on 5mm x 12mm rivets, which pulled straight through, So I ended up fastening some steel washers behind the tabs to create a smaller diameter hole, and riveted into those and that did the trick. It's not a perfect solution but it ain't going anywhere. Luckily the motor still works, next step tomorrow is to fit the window into the clamps and rebuild the door. Doubt I'll have many troubles, this was the hardest part. Greetingsss

Could these issues be related? Electronic window fail, blower broken, moisture on windshield
Hi all, I've had my MK1 fabia for a couple of months now and put 6k kilometers on it. She's lovely, and mechanically perfect. There are some issues creeping up since the past few weeks, they are strange and I wonder if they could be related. 1. There is moisture on the windshield on the inside. And it's quite a lot, enough for me to need a towel to dry it. 2. The interior fan rarely works. It broke 2 weeks ago on a return trip (the way there it worked) but on return it didn't turn on. I say rarely, because on on the last trip after we where driving back (1,5 hour trip) it turned on after 2/3 of the way. Today i checked and it was off again. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. The airco light also does not turn on if the fan doesn't work. When the fan came on, the airco worked again as well. I know it isn't the motor, because I leave it on full blast since the heat passively comes from the engine and the motor kicked on last trip. It could be some loose connection but I don't know where to look. 3. The drivers window fell in the door. On a recent trip, after trying to close the driver's window (fan doesn't work), the glass of the door made a strange noise and fell in frame off the rails. I pulled it up by hand and taped it to the frame as a temporary measure I have electric windows, so my guess is that it jumped of the gear or something. Is this a common issue, can I fix this myself? I have replaced the speakers, but I made sure that nothing could touch the glass. I did notice that some of the rivets inside where missing, I'm guessing someone messed with it before. Wondering if I can fix this myself. All these issues occured in the last few weeks. Margreet (as she is called) has had some quirks before, but they've been there since I bought it. Like the keyfob sometimes unlocks all the doors, except the drivers door, or the beep letting you know that the headlights are on sometimes doesn't work either. I've taken these for granted since she's 15 years old but the 3 problems mentioned above actually cause me to worry a bit. I want to work on these issues myself where possible and learn, and hope some of you can guide me a little bit on the way. Kind regards, Wessel!

Lost maintenance record
Hey @Wino, I finally found the time to check it. These are some photo's, more on the link, https://imgur.com/a/IlHvIg0 As far as I can tell the date says 270905, or about 4 months before the car was initially registered, so I'm guessing it's from the factory. The condition to me seems good, but I have no idea. Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Lost maintenance record
Less than 1 year probably. I'm 20, so insurance is way too high (100 bucks per month), fuel is freaking expensive in the Netherlands (€1,85 per liter). And public transport is free as long as I study so it isn't really feasible, but I'm moving to Spain for an exchange period so a car is much more useful there. I do want to sell the car better than I bought it, in hopes of seeing somewhat of the original 2150 I paid for it (My calculated expectation is 1500, but I'm shooting for 2000) It is however a lot of fun, and I'm learning a great deal about fixing my own car. Fun lesson!

Lost maintenance record
Thank you. I think you're right. I bought this car for €2150, and expected to need €50 per month for maintenance. In the first 2 weeks, the clutch replacement (€200,-, dealers favor), and fluids cost me €100, expected front tyres and front brakes will cost me another €200-€250. Timing belts are expensive! Got quotes for €345. There goes my maintenance budget :(

No I'm afraid it doesn't. It was around 5 years ago.

Lost maintenance record
Hi all, I bought a 2006 fabia 1.4, with 134000km on it. The first owners have documented the maintenance quite okay, but after 75k, there is nothing to be found. I have replaced the oil, oilfilter, airfilter, sparkplugs, brakefluid, coolingfluid. The dealer I bought it from replaced the clutch, since that started slipping within 4 hours of purchase. I'm guessing that 15 years, 8000km per year it's just been used for groceries, so lot of city driving and thus clutch wear. The tires are getting replaced in october, the brakes seem fine for now. Enough pad left, no grooves. I am worried about the timing belt, I don't know if it has been replaced and if not, I don't know if it needs replacement. Is there are way to check the condition, and how do I judge if it needs a change? And is that possible for a beginner with basic tools? If there are any other parts I should check, please let me know. The car itself is in great condition, like it has been in a garage it's whole time. I just think that the last owner neglected some maintenance.

Following my dad
I pressed enter and can't seem to edit anymore (I'm dumb) but this is my fabia. Thought I'd stick close to dad, with almost the same colour and just a size smaller and older (or 2)
