  1. Ok, so I went through similar topics here and on other forums. The conclusion is that this is a common issue in vag. The speed limit data is not reliable and a consensus is to use alternatives like WAZE. Perhaps someone has some deeper knowledge on this matter? If one locate files containing regional data including speed limit info perhaps it can be edited?
  2. Hi everyone, so there's a new maps update available for skoda kodiaq 2022/2023 (197 for MIB 2.5 columbus). I downloaded relevant file and proceeded with the update. As always all went smoothly but the speed limit displayed on the map is no longer corresponding to the real regulations that are in force for almost a year now. It did not change during last update but I know the maps are released with some delay. The problem is that the limit in my country was 50km/hr from 6-23 and 60 from 23-6. Now this is no longer the case as the regulation requires to drive 50km/hr all day and night without any time limit. In my dashboard and on the columbus display there are two signs - one with 50km/hr another with 60km/hr. I did my update during driving so the speed limit was displayed all the time. Perhaps those files could not be overridden during that time? Is there anyway I can verify what speed limit is writen in the file itself? Can it be edited? Thanks for help.
  3. Hello. When I want to listen fm radio stations and I am on a DAB mode I have to press button on the screen to manually select fm mode and vice versa. There are two separate list of radio stations. One for FM frequencies and the other for DAB frequencies. Is there any way to have all the radio stations, both fm and Dab in one list? I know that in later models both modes were merged. I own MY18 so the 2.5 MIB version - columbus 9.2". Thanks
  4. Thanks Teir, that is the feedback I was looking for. Unfortunately the car just ran past the warranty period so its now up to independent service to check out. Its not anything major but one of those things that was bothering me from the beginning but didn't feel need to do anything about it at the time. All in all it works. Like You said, the car wasn't designed to be driving by itself. I know the system evolved since I was provided with a various replacement cars during servicing periods. Each new model felt like more refined in terms of self driving. Granted, I did not compared it with another Kodiaq, but I had Passat, Karoq, Kamiq to compare with. The 'selfdriving' feature worked a little bit better there but I would exchange my car for any other. Once again thank You.
  5. The problem is with the latter one - the adaptive mode. Obviously it is on, all required options are on. It is true that road markings must be in relatively good condition. Still the problem is that it does not keeping the center of the road - it does for the first 10 seconds or so. But later on it struggles. It is like the wheel responses with a little bit of delay. From my observation it works better in hot temperatures - perhaps steering fluid is warmer and presents less friction. Anyway I know it works in newer models. Mine is MY2018. My question is whether it is possible to make some sort of calibration. And how it behaves in 2016/17 models.
  6. Ok, so I own MY 2018. It's really a great car. I had some small issues in the past but everything was covered and rectified under warranty. Nothing major - squeaking door handles, malfunctioning ignition button, depleted car's battery, foggy headlights. There is really little to complain about this car. One feature of this car is adaptive lane guidance. I rarely use it although it is quite convenient during morning traffic jams. The car follows the track by itself. It is not tesla obviously but it even can cover small turns. However during driving on motorway the car struggles keeping the center line. It slowly bounces trying to find the center of the track. There are times it works more reliably. Perhaps it is temperature dependent. From my observations it's just missing those micro adjustments on the wheel I've observed in newer models. I don't have auto parking mode. What is Your experience with this system for MY 2017/18. I know the system was greatly improved in later iterations. Is there any way to perform some calibration/adjustment. Skoda service tried to do something but they told me that this was the very first vision of this system and really it won't be any better than this. Thanks for Your feedback
